Backstory: I don't want to get into details, but tl:dr my little sister has been sexually abused by my cousin. This has been happening for about a year and a half - from when she was 12 to 13. My cousin was 16-17 during this period.

I don't really see a huge age difference in 13 and 16. Until very, very recently, it was common for men much older than him to marry girls of that age.

What is wrong with a 16 year old and a 13 year old being in love? Please explain without using the term pedophile, seeing as how the time of menarche for the average american female is 11.6 years, so this girl is almost certainly not a child.
Was I a bad person at 17 for being crazy about a 14 year old classmate? I certainly don't think so, and neither did she. I can't think of a reason why anyone would have a problem with it except jealousy or a misplaced sense of overprotective forced childhood morality.

I'm 28 now and have been talking to a 22 year old who likes me pretty well, that's twice the age gap, I must be an evil monster.

edit: It is human nature to be sexually attracted to females who are younger than you, as long as they are of breeding age. That's just life, son.
