[Re: Texans boot Planned Parenthood.]
The states won't jump on board that band wagon until all Christians hold ALL politicians feet to the fire, so to speak. If we can't burn em' in the fire, then bounce the bums out of office.
Enough is enough from the lunatic fringe minority, which = pro (death)choice, the LGBT, atheists. If all Bible thumpin' Right wingnut believers and the(silent majority) stood up to Proclaim the Word of The Lord louder & bolder than ever before. The overly squeekly secular minority and their Godless voice would be drowned by the thunderous Glory of Jesus Christ, our Saviors name.
I'll walk roughly and carry a bigger Bible, not a flimsy stick.

Silent???!!! We can never get you guys to shut the fuck up! You're always bitching about one thing or another. It's always, "Hey, man, fetuses are people too!" or "The gay agenda is turning our kids queer!" or "Atheists kicked God out of schools!" Then when we point out that you ARE Bible-thumping wingnuts, you cry "persecution."
Damn, I hate wearing earplugs.
And y'know, all of the pro-choicers, LGBT, and atheists are hardly a lunatic fringe minority.
IIRC, it's the CHRISTIANS who're PRO-DEATH. You're constantly screaming that "eevil [atheists/pagans/gays/etc] are going to burn in hell for ever and ever, and it's our GAWDLY DUTY to send them there!"
Yeesh.
i dunno about you, but i'd prefer to speak softly and carry a giant microphone...
also, don't mock the Death Party. Mandatory gay marriage and abortions for all!
Also, i thought humans were supposed to be more important than inanimate objects? why then is it so wrong to light a flag on fire when it's perfectly fine to stick politician's feet in fire... At least it's perfectly legal to bounce a flag.
DevilsChaplain you misunderstood. These people seem to think that all christians believe in YEC, hate gays, want Obama to die and are intolerant dumbasses in general just like them, but for unexplained reasons are silent about it. Its just another delusion, "the silent majority will rise up, admit where right about everything and drive out those homocommieathiests!" is a less loony rapture. No Jebus but its the revenge they care about.
PS: what ass backwards thing did my state do now?
silent majority
Be careful with that term. The now-Prime Minister of Canada (only through constitutional chicanery now, but still) once claimed that a "silent majority" of Canadians supported going into Iraq when you folks did. We're glad we ignored him then.

And I'll walk softly so I can sneak up behind you and thwack you on the head with my bigger, sturdier stick. Maybe I'll also have a good sharp sword to slice your Bible into pieces.
While you do that and you get killed by your foes for foolishly running into battle with a thick book, I'll be trying to help us come to a peaceful agreement with my gentle words, but should defense be required I'll have my big stick with me.

Must hold back constant rant about how PP is the only place that treated me like a human when I lost my health insurance and provides complete OB/GYN services... only which a tiny, very tiny, part of is abortion.
Must.... Control.... Fist.... Of.... Stupidity.... Bashing....
(Can we add "Please support PP" to the site at this rate? I wish I could send them some money myself to fight this ignorance.)
But when atheists do the same because they're fed up with your intromisions, they're evil. If Muslims or secularist do it in the countries where they're majority, you complain. Double standards at its best.
Enough is enough from the lunatic fringe minority, which = pro(death) for women, the LGBT and atheists. If all sane, rational, normal people (the silent majority) stood up to proclaim the separation of Church and state louder & bolder than ever before, the overly shrill Bible thumpin' Right-wingnut believers and would be drowned by the thunderous voices calling for a secular society.
I'll walk roughly and carry a bigger stick and beat those Bible-believing nutjobs back into their places.
This post seems to refer to a town in the Texas panhandle banning Plannned Parenthood. I do know that because of a group of twenty protesters, consisting of Catholics and Protestant fundies, the city of Corpus Christi voted to drop city funding for Planned Parenthood, which in turn caused the city to lose $500,000 in federal funding.
It would appear that these illiterate nut jobs are gaining ground, at least hyar in Texas.
Note: Corpus Christi has one of the highest, if not the highest, teen pregnancy rates in the state.
I'm surprised the whole post isn't in all caps.
( Proclaim the Word of The Lord louder & bolder than ever before.)
If you shout the loudest, you win and are right.
So ... if the silent majority agree with you ... how come a) Obama won, and b) candidates from fundie parties only get teeny tiny votes, eh? Could it be that ... you've already lost, but don't know it yet? Why yes, it could.
"If we can't burn em' in the fire, then bounce the bums out of office."
Yeah. How's that going, incidentally?

That makes me think about the scense from "Kingdom of Heaven" where the Christian armies went into battle with the huge crosses and priests (and then got slaughtered).
Also,

In that case Texas can give up all federal funding and succeed from the Union. You want theocracy, do it on your own dime. Then we can expel all the illegal Texan immigrants from the 49 United States. Everybody wins! Hey Bush, where's your green card?!
Right wingnut believers and the(silent majority) stood up to Proclaim the Word of The Lord louder & bolder than ever before.
Why does your all powerful god need to get things proclaimed in a loud voice? Hearing problems? Is that the reason why you have to pray for the same thing for years before it eventually happens by chance and you can attribute it to some imaginary god?
It's as if everything must be a sham with you morons.
First, you invent something like Intelligent Design to bolster creationism. Second, you talk the tough-guy-talk and swagger the bully-boy-swagger to make you look hard and no-nonsense (you imagine - actually, most people just laugh at your ridiculous posturing). Third, you simper and lie in order to deceive. Fourth, you avoid the truth like the plague.
But, you seem to have forgotten one little, but important, thing. How to prevent yourselves from looking like simpletons or self-loathing arseholes who need the bible to justify their hatred and bigotry.
Okay, so wait, are they a majority, or are they being persecuted constantly? Would they just make up their damn minds already?
This is laughable at best.
Squeekly? Not a word. Idiot.
By the way atheists aren't scared of you. You people are ignorant, pathetic, and spineless cowards without your imaginary friend.
Oh fuck me. I live in Texas and PP is the only way I can afford my OBGYN exams. Though I shouldn't be shocked, the Panhandle Texans are crazy-assed bible thumpers even by our standards.
....I'll be in the corner gnawing on my liver now.
Well, searchin -- apparently you didn't do that good a job of "booting" Planned Parenthood in Texas. The pastor of my church, her husband, several members, my partner and I donated labor (and money) to help build a new Planned Parenthood clinic in Austin; and my partner and donate $1,500 annually to support Planned Parenthood.
Sure must suck to be you, searchin... :-)
@DevilsChaplain
"Atheists kicked God out of schools!"
Y'know, it just dawned on me that if He(tm)'s so high-fired all-powerful, how the Hades (patent pending) does anyone kick Him(tm) out of anywhere unless He(tm) wants to go?
Confused?
