Observations: Men are not lions, or dogs, or black widow spiders, or praying Mantises. The general rule in nature is heterosexual. But there are exceptions, and just because a behavior occurs in nature, does not justify men copying that behavior. Our behavioral standard is defined by what our Creator told us.

"Our behavioral standard is defined by what our Creator told us."
BUT, no Creator is known to exist!
Meaning according to the evidence we have at the moment, that's "what the people who claimed to be speaking for our Creator told us."
Now all we have to do is agree on what our Creator told us. Can we dance and enjoy music or not? What does it mean to "keep the Sabbath holy" and what day is the Sabbath? Can we eat shellfish and bacon cheeseburgers? Can I keep the millions of dollars I made screwing over the workers, or do I have to give it all to the poor? Do I have to have faith and perform good works to get into Heaven, or is just one sufficient? If I do something bad and am really, really sorry, can I still get into Heaven, or do I get there automatically because of Jesus?
Why doesn't our Creator provide a clear, unequivocal behavioral standard, instead of relying on humans, who are always looking for loopholes, to define it?
and just because a behavior occurs in nature, does not justify men copying that behavior
Because that's exaaaaactly what happens.
"Hey, Bob, look at that, those are two BOY ducks getting it on! Maybe we should do that!"
The general rule in nature is mating seasons. We're an exception to this.
My Creators (aka mum and dad) told me to try to be a good person, to treat others with kindness and respect, to always be helpful if I can. They would be angry with me for being a homophobe, not for being a homosexual.
Well, homosexuality is inborn, so obviously your Creator made them that way.
Meaning you have 2 options, assuming you insist on this "all-powerful deity" thing:
1) Your God is okay with gay people.
2) Your God is an evil monster who creates people for the express purpose of torturing them forever, just for fun.
Which is it, DannyTN?
Our behavioral standard is defined by what our Creator told us.
To kill every living thing in the next village, cut open pregnant women's bellies,
smash babies' heads upon rocks, rape the virgins, enslave any survivors, burn down
the village and salt the fields?
So many villagers, so little time *sigh*
So much for "Unnatural" Crime, too many men were jailed and hanged for that in the old days. If animals do it, that destroys the argument, which was simply following the rules of a bunch of ancient goat herders anyway.
Which is why the haters, that's haterosexuals, get hot under the collars when they see this among dogs, lions, etc.
I wonder if this is like a game?
A says homosexuality is their nature.
B says homosexuality is not nstural, therefore men should copy nature and not do it.
A points to examples of homosex in nature.
B says we're not animals, therefore we shouldn't copy nature.
OH! It's just like the watchmaker argument!
A watch is an artifact, obviously, because it's NOTHING like what we see in nature.
The a quick count to ten. NOW nature is an artifact, obviously, because it's just like what we see in a watch!
Tell your fellow bigots, then, because they like to claim that homosexuality is unnatural, and so evil that even animals won't do it.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
