[Re: Fstdt.com]
I love how the people on that site literally spend time posting those quotes. They complain about us and look at them. There pathetic seriously theres no purpose in what they do. We don't need quotes to prove there ignorance there actions are all we need to hold them by.

I'm surprised. Most of the responses on that forum are downright sane. I had figured based on the number of Resistance Manifesto posts which end up on here, that place was akin to TFC.
And the original poster was no-doubt a troll, and a bad one at that.

"literally spend time posting those quotes" as opposed to metaphorically spending time posting quotes.
I think this is the first time I've ever witnessed all three improper usages of their/they're/there. I'm impressed in a way.
"I love how the people on that site literally spend time posting those quotes."
Glad we've managed to bring some joy into your life!
"There pathetic seriously theres no purpose in what they do."
[/]You're right - baiting the willfully stupid isn't terribly purposeful. But it is fun! Besides, we get to teach you some basic grammar, which can't be a bad thing, right? (It's they're , not there .)
if you want to... I could give you a nice virtual spork to kill yourself with.
now, where is that: "English, mutherf*cker do you speak it" motivational sign?
I can see at least one purpose: fun.
And, imo, if one (ore more) god(s) created the universe, it would be for the very same reason ;)
Well, some one had to literally post them; if they were only posted figuratively, we wouldn't be able to read them and laugh at you idiots, which is, BTW, the purpose of this site.
He's partially right, we do get some pretty fucked up people here. Still, he makes the mistake many of us make; Take the quotes out of context.
But yeah, FSTDT makes me lol. So I'd rather sit back and let this go on.
I have come to believe that fundie spelling is a bit like the deliberate imperfections Islamic artisans put in their work.
The basic idea that only God may create perfection lead weavers, painters and architects in the Muslim world to put mistakes into their own work, so as not to ape or mock God. Similarly, fundies - who hold the KJV as the inerrant word of God - are careful not to write anything close to that level of spelling, grammar or comprehension, and hence avoid any divine wrath being brought down upon them.
Hence the holier they think themselves, the more distinct their writing is from anything like the language of the bible.
"We don't need quotes to prove there(sic) ignorance(,) there(sic) actions are all we need to hold(sic) them by."
Quotes are sometimes useful to illuminate illiteracy.
I also spend time playing video games, running, working, playing with the ferrets, writing, giggling at lolcats, and Photoshopping things for my own amusement.
As opposed to posting on a fundie website all day, fantasizing about the annihilation of all of humanity.
Whereas you, on the other hand, cannot even spell the words 'their' and 'they're'.
And we're the ignorant ones? Please, at least we can spell.
Whereas we seriously love the people from Resistance Manifesto because they are so unintentionally hysterically funny. I love the assumption that every person who disagrees with the fundamentalist concepts has to be an atheist or pagan. In their world there are no agnostics, unitarians, hell they don't even accept moderate Christians.
You love it, we love it, everybody's happy that you are goofy, stupid and proud of the fact. It's a win/win situation!
There is a purpose. In fact, when you re read them, you notice how stupid they are and.............yes, you get angry, which means that you really think that what you say is bullshit.
Thank you all really I don't come in the habit of spell checking my post. Its great for you to have pointed that out though. Thanks again for making me and my fellow Christians faith stronger.

And yes I am aware of all the over posting I just did. No it was not an attempt at spam. For it was merely an accident produced by the lagginess of my computer combined with my excessive clicking of the mouse to get my post through. Obviously it went through a little to many times.

Exile - just how many times were you going to post that? Never mind.
I really don't care if your Christian faith is stronger for your contact with us. I couldn't care if you lost your faith. In essence, I don't care a whit about you at all.
What I do care about is that you assume we are ignorant. If anything, we demonstrate (with a few exceptions) our educated and thoughtful attitudes even as we punk people with silly ideas and big mouths. You, on the other hand, demonstrate your ignorance to us by claiming (wrongly) that we have no purpose in what we do.
Obviously, we do not have a purpose here other than to have fun pointing out your silly notions and big mouth. Anyone with half a clue would have figured that out almost instantly. (Thanks for proving our point for us, by the way.)
Get a clue, Exile. The world doesn't revolve around either you or your religion, and you are seriously starting to irritate me with your narcissistic attitudes.
well, whoop-die-fucking-doo your faith has been strengthened...
now let us get back to the "pointing and laughing" thing
"There pathetic "
And literate, too.
First of all, the original post:
As everyone else has said, our purpose here is mostly to have fun. As far as our actions? What actions of mine have you observed? You haven't even watched me write this - all you see is the end result of that writing. A pseudonym on a website is not the end-all, be-all of who and what I am.
Now, regarding your multi-post reply to this thread:
In your favor, a spell-checker would not have found any of your mistakes. A grammar checker would, however. If you're going to attempt to communicate in English, using proper grammar helps immensely. Now, with regard to us strengthening your faith... I'm confused. How does it strengthen your faith to see multiple instances of pure idiocy in the name of your faith? Honestly, if I were a Christian, I would be ashamed to be associated with pretty much any of the Christian fundamentalists quoted here. In fact, I'm ashamed of being human because of them.
“I love how the people on that site literally spend time posting those quotes.”
Um… If we didn’t literally post them, how would they be there?
“They complain about us and look at them.”
We find community with people who know you’re an idiot.
“There pathetic”
For example.
“seriously theres no purpose in what they do.”
I find the time well spent.
“We don't need quotes to prove there ignorance”
You need something.
“there actions”
Um, all we do is post quotes. So the ‘actions’ you need to highlight would be the quotes you say you don’t need. And you think OUR efforts are meaningless?
“are all we need to hold them by.”
Fine. Hold me. Careful with the right arm, i strained something during sex last night.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
