An athiest tried to take OUR GOD out of the Pledge. An athiest tried to take OUR GOD off our currency and that is what this country was FOUNDED ON! Oh, it's true.

Yeah, that damnable atheist Francis Bellamy left them out, except -- oh yeah, he was a Baptist minister, and -- oh yeah, he WROTE the Pledge.

"Common Sense" may just have outsold the bible in the colonies back 1776...
That may be true, but plenty of people already had Bibles. They didn't already have copies of "Common Sense".
Your argument is something akin to "John Grisham's 'An Innocent Man' outsold 'The Firm' in 2006." Well, yeah, because 'An Innocent Man' was a new book.
Shall I say this?
Treaty of Tripoli.
Bitch.
Not sure if your country was founded on currency. It certainly had something to do with plundering resources for Spain, so I suppose it's kinda monetary - they were looking for a shortcut to India you know.
As for the God shit. Bwaaahaahahaa!
New rule: we won't be listen to drivel from fundies until you learn how to spell "atheists".
Wasn't OUR GOD put into the pledge rather recently?
Your country was founded on currency with OUR GOD on it? Amazing!
We haven't any god on our currency and our economy worked pretty well, until your moron-in-chief managed to deflate the whole world's economy.
"An athiest tried to take OUR GOD out of the Pledge"
Bollocks. Purely as a result of the 'Red Scare' in the 50s was 'under God' added; from 1924 up to 1954 the Pledge of Allegiance read:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands; one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."
Now, what was wrong with that? Ever hear of the phrase 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'?
"An athiest tried to take OUR GOD off our currency and that is what this country was FOUNDED ON!"
Bollocks II. Pre-1950s, there was no 'In God We Trust' on your banknotes & coins. Again, purely as a result of the 'Red Scare' did you have to fix what wasn't broken. Besides, we in the UK don't have any mentions of 'God' or a 'creator' whatsoever on our currency, and for a good reason. When you see it, you'll shit bricks, EternalWarrior:

"Oh, it's true."
Indeed. Here's your bricks back, EternalWarrior.
“An athiest tried to take OUR GOD out of the Pledge”
SCOTUS said that ‘Under God’ is ‘ceremonial deism.’ Not just a specific religion. CLEARLY you think it’s YOUR and only YOUR GOD. Your testimony could help our cause.
“An athiest tried to take OUR GOD off our currency”
Same thing, dipshit, you’re arguing against SCOTUS’ flimsy excuse.
“and that is what this country was FOUNDED ON! Oh, it's true.”
Not true at all. The Founders would be really PISSED at a coerced pledge of fidelity. Also, it’s only been ‘under god’ and ‘in skybozo we trust’ since the 1950’s. Read a fucking book once or twice.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
