But it ain't Christianity.
1. The main creature affected by sonar are whales. Which use sonar as well. Ours are much much louder than theirs so often causes them discomfort or hearing loss. However the number of submarines out there are few. And indeed most spend their time on passive sonar quietly trundling about rather than active sonar.
2. Its fishing boats low yield sonar that you need to worry about. It helps them hunt down shoals of fish for drift netting and whaling. While I think fish are delicious, the quantities that we consume them in is not. One may have to moderate our consumption.
3. The tower of Babel is not true. Because now we have taller buildings and God has done nothing. Also we have been higher than any "tower of babel". God does not exist "really high up".
4. I am prett sure christianity does believe in Politics, War, Guns and Crimes against humanity. History proves that.
5. The majority of people believe in a creator. I don't understand why you are so scared of atheists. We are a tiny tiny minority. Most people are agnostic or indeed, slight believers.

The LHC is designed to recreate conditions trillionths of a second after the BB, you don't believe there was a BB, therefore the LHC will not work.

Wouldn't you expect Christians to encourage scientific development, such as the LHC -experiments, rather than oppose it? Most Christians think of science as a way of understanding what "the creator" has made for us to find. Thinking that science would be a polar opposite of religion is just an idiotic attempt to antagonize science and religion. It's really damn aggravating when Christians do that.

The second sentence contradicts the first. If man were incapable of achieving said power, then god would have no cause to prevent it. And if man were capable, then god would be an authoritarian jerk for disallowing it.

Inasmuch as it's motivated by religiously-mandated stupidity, he -does- have a point about sonar technology, and marine noise pollution in general. I don't think the LHC could have any similar unforseen deleterious effects, but we're well-advised to critically examine new technological advancements for their impact on the natural world.

30 years?? The prototype for all sonar was first tested back in 1917 and was widely used from 1918 onwards. The only real fucking difference between that and what w use now is the modern sonar is more accurate... THAT'S ALL!

Doesn't Jesus specifically state in the bible that everything he can do, every man on Earth is capable of? That sure sounds like the creator is willing to allow man to "come close to his power."
