Picture this Eric,
A woman is walking through the Mt's of Colorado, talking about her childhood of worship and reading the bible.
I thought it was normal to read a bible. I try to live the bible everyday, but Barack Obama said I was clinging to my bible because I was bitter.
Christians don't call call other Christians bitter for clinging to their bible, that is unless Barack Obama is not a Christian.
Just who is Barack Hussein Obama.

Now, I wouldn't have said that. I'd have said most people cling to the thing not out of bitterness, but out sheer terror of facing the world as it really is (vast, mostly empty and indifferent) on their own.
Only a relatively small subset, the Phelps clan, etc, seem to cling to the bible out of actual bitterness, comforting themselves with childish, delusional revenge fantasies.
[Barack Obama said I was clinging to my bible because I was bitter.]
He probably shouldn't have said that, but regardless, he wasn't talking about Colorado when he said it.
Take a step back and relax.
If it was normal to read the buybull, you xstians would actually do it, instead of telling the rest of us that you read it. When, you know, clearly you have not.
"I thought it was normal to read a bible."
It is
"I try to live the bible everyday, but Barack Obama said I was clinging to my bible because I was bitter. "
Some who do are. Not all though. It is a mistake on his part
"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
He didn't say people were clinging to their Bibles because they're bitter. He said people cling to religion to explain the frustration of watching their communities die as the jobs disappear. It's amazing how people (and the media) focused on the "bitter" comment, and not on the actual issue he was addressing: loss of American jobs.
Why do you people insist on pretending that Obama was trying to insult you? I'm paraphrasing, but from what I remember he said that people vote on issues like guns/religion because they don't expect their government to do anything to solve our REAL ISSUES. He said people are angry and bitter because the government doesn't care about their problems. Was he right? Do you think this government cares about your problems? If you aren't pissed off then there is something wrong with you. Grow the fuck up.
I thought it was normal to read a bible.
For your little tribe, certainly.
I try to live the bible everyday...
Do you use a different misconception for every day of the year? There are more than enough of 'em, you know.
Quit it, you're ruffling my kilt.
@ Doctor Whom: Loaded question, tsk tsk.
I must protest this person's user name.
