F*CK THAT PUT A CROSS ON THAT GRAVE
People should be allowed to practice whatever religion they want, but no one should be allowed to disgrace Christianity by putting another symbol of idolotary on their grave. Screw this guy, he should get a big gold cross up there just for that.

If graves are for christians only, does that mean I'll live forever since becoming an atheist?
"...practice whatever religion they want, BUT..."
Nice double-standard, contrary man.
BTW: that should be 'shits on liberals', or, 'shat on liberals'. What do you know, you fail again.
People should be allowed to practice whatever religion they want, but
That's probably a decent summing up of much of the Religious Right's rhetoric.
I say "Henry Ford" award, as it was Ford who said something like, "You can have any color Ford you want, so long as it's black."
Yeah, so, all the soldiers with Stars of David? You're going to go plaster a big, gold cross on them, too?
That ain't freedom of religion, buddy. That's just fucking bigotry.
The U.S. has no official religion, so 'Toby' has no case.
Then again, we're dealing with someone who wishes he were a country star who excretes on those who do not share his political views.
I'm guessing he's not exactly well-read.
So...
If a Jew puts a Star of David on their loved one's grave, screw them the loved one should get a big, gold cross because a Star of David dishonors Christianity?
Or if a Muslim puts a crescent moon on their loved one's grave, screw them the loved one should get a big, gold cross because a crescent dishonors Christianity?
Papabear (once again!) nails it with this response: Yeah, freedom of religion is OK as long as it's freedom of MY religion.
Remind me to let you know when I die and where I'm buried, toby_keith_who_cannot_distinguish_between_present_and_past_tense.
I think I'm going to have symbols of ALL faiths placed on my grave just to spite you!
So, we can practice what ever religion we want, as long as all our symbols are christian, Do I have that right?
"but no one should be allowed to disgrace Christianity by putting another symbol of idolotary on their grave"
Because the cross isn't a symbol of idolatry, amirite?
Hypocrisy, thy name is fundie.
"Screw this guy, he should get a big gold cross up there just for that"
If you're prepared to put on said grave a huge 24 carat gold cross, fine. Would make a perfect pension for said widow; her deceased husband would want her to take that thing round the nearest goldsmith's shop to sell. That guy wouldn't be screwed (he's dead)- but you'd be, financially. So, how 'bout it? Put that big gold cross on there, make his widow happy.
well Christianity says "You shall not suffer a witch to live" and the guy is dead, in the service of his country whose constitution guarenteed him freedom of religion, but still you shoul;d be delighted he is dead.
Put up a cross, crap on the grave , beat his wife with sticks, get Westboro baptists to protest and all will be good for your God.
A part of practicing whatever religion you want is putting whatever symbol you want on your grave, asshole.
I'd like a flower or foliage of some kind on my grave, or rather that my ashes rested under a peony bush or something.
Toby ought to have a big gold crescent on his grave, just for that. Really classy username, numb-skull!
The Cenotaph: the national war memorial of Britain:
image
All you'll see on that is a carved wreath, and the words 'The Glorious Dead'.
The fact there's always a Star of David in red poppies laid there to memorialise British Jews who died serving this country in past wars completely annihilates your entire argument.
The cross of white poppies memorialises Christians who were conscientious objectors : but who still served in said past wars as medics etc.
The bravery of these liberals in particular shats on what's left of your 'argument', tobe m'boy.
Confused?
