This is something for thought.
If man evolved from apes, then why are there still apes? Why haven't they all become human, if that was God's plan? Apes are an animal, which is what some say we have evolved from? What about the fact Genesis is clear on the fact that God created animals, then man? Adam named them all, correct? Animals were named by man, not an intelligent animal. That I think we can all agree on.

Oh yes, you have us there...
Evolution only works when species are able to split up into groups and travel there own 'genetic paths' if evolution worked the way you seem to be suggesting, there would only be one species of creature on this planet.
The fact that your bible says god made animals and then had Adam name all of them (quite a task) only proves that your bible is wrong.
"This is something for thought. "
Clearly not something you do very often.
"If man evolved from apes, then why are there still apes? "
Man didn't evolve from apes because man is still an ape .
"Why haven't they all become human, if that was God's plan? "
Probably because evolution isn't linear. There are no evolutionary goals beyond survival -- not survival of the fittist, just and only survival.
"What about the fact Genesis is clear on the fact that God created animals, then man? "
A) I thought it was the other way around
B) THEN PERHAPS THAT MEANS THE BIBLE MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT EVER THINK ABOUT THAT?
"Adam named them all, correct? "
If by "Adam" you mean "Man in general," then, yeah, he did.
"Animals were named by man, not an intelligent animal. That I think we can all agree on. "
No we can't. Man is and always will be an intelligent animal.
>If man evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?
Goddamnit! Don't make me go over this for the billionth time.
>Why haven't they all become human, if that was God's plan?
It isn't, because there is no God, ok? Stop pushing your premises into our arguments.
>Apes are an animal, which is what some say we have evolved from?
The phrasing of this is like a glistening gem of utter suck.
>What about the fact Genesis is clear on the fact that God created animals, then man?
Genesis is stupid fiction.
>Adam named them all, correct?
Look, he's made-up. Like Goku or Forrest Gump or something.
>Animals were named by man, not an intelligent animal. That I think we can all agree on.
Man = intelligent animal. Stupid.
Wiki:
Beetles are the most diverse group of insects. Their order, Coleoptera (meaning "sheathed wing"), has more described species in it than in any other order in the animal kingdom. Forty percent of all described insect species are beetles (about 350,000 species), and new species are regularly discovered. Estimates put the total number of species, described and undescribed, at between 5 and 8 million
Let's take the average of 6.5 million.
If he named all animals, with 8 hours of sleep a day and 1 per 15 minutes (it must be hard to come up with names after the first few), at would take about 101562.5 hours, which is about 278 years. That is only for the beetles. About 40% of the (described) insects are beetles, which means that he will need another 600 years to finish all the insects. We haven't even started the mammals and fish yet. He only lived to somewhere around 900, so it will not/did not happen.
"If man evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?"
If I hear this one more time...

Listen, asshats, it's this simple: the evolution of a species does not mean that the species becomes a new one. It means that some members of the species evolve while others do not.
How many times will we see some ass-hat suddenly think he's found the single most devastating argument against evolution, post "Why are there still apes?" as if it's never been posted before, and pretend to be a genius?
I think this particular kind of post gets an "Echo" award.
If man evolved from apes, then why are there still apes?
That you can ask the question with a straight face proves that you are too stupid to be educable. But that doesn't mean I won't try.

Oh no! Not this tired old argument again!
Humans ARE apes, we didn't evolve FROM apes, and apes are not an animal, it's a family of animals.
There is no goal to evolution, only survival as a species.
The other great apes are just as evolved as we are, they are the most adapted to their niches.
In fact, every living species is the most adapted to its niche. The less adapted have died out.
Genesis is NOT clear on that fact, Genesis chapters 1 and 2 contradict each other on who was created first.
Humans ARE intelligent animals, stupid, so no; we can't all agree on that. Only less intelligent animals can agree on that...
Gee, we've never heard THAT one before....
If dogs are descended from wolves, how come there are still wolves?
If Protestants came from Catholics, how come there are still Catholics?
If white Americans and Australians are both descended from Europeans, how come there are still Europeans?
Confused?
