[Earthquake cracked large dam above city of Dujiangyan]
God alone holds back the water. I pray that He intercedes and keeps that dam holding. Has anyone noticed that over the last month the rash of quakes ,eruptions and typhoons that have killed hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. We have Burma swamped by a cyclone with 50,000 dead and now a quake with the potential 150,000 plus deaths in China. This events occur in threes. Where will the next disaster going to occur? Cali, Hawaii or in Napoli? God only knows? Wake up and repent. get right along side our good God. He’s the only answer.

Y'know, actually helping them is a lot better than just sitting here and condemning them to hell.
I don't understand it when some Christians proudly declare their religion a religion of faith, that works are irrelevant to going to heaven. When that principle breeds righteous pricks such as STD, I'll take my religion (or non-religion) over Christianity.
this mordant jeremiahing sickens me. While people die, these morons pray, (and morbidly gloat that their god is coming).
I know that after giving to the particular charities, and lobbying if necessary our political representatives, there is little the majority of us CAN do, but to publicly posture like this sickens me.
You could believe in God, or you could move out of the disaster-prone areas / help those who have been affected and could not move out.
Or wait, praying's cheaper.
"get right along side our good God."
Yep, your good god who kills hundreds of thousands of people because they don't devote their lives to him (and many who do). Yep he sounds like such a great guy. With severe emotional issues.
These events occur in threes? How so? STD admits that there's been a 'rash' of them over the last month. Who decides on the groupings?
Why should a disaster occur in Cali, an insignificant Colombian market town noted only for its cocaine trade?
No, it's the dam that holds back the water. I'd rather rely on Chinese engineers than prayer to keep it holding. Prayer, as we all know (even fundies), doesn't work.
God alone holds back the water.
That must save on concrete :)

Not only that, but apparently disasters like that happen every year!
In a world run entirely by fundies, there are no repairs. Dams are left cracked because God holds the water back. Nobody maintains nuclear power plants because God will prevent a meltdown. Nobody is hired to inspect hygiene standards in the food and drinks industry because God will only send disease if he feels we deserve it.
Basically, a disease-ridden nuclear wasteland with wall-to-wall starvation. But at least they'd be right with God.
"God alone holds back the water."
nah - it's the dam
"He’s the only answer."
what was the question?
besides... God is a twat in the first place for making a world that has earth quakes & cyclones and things that apparently happen in threes. It's time humanity collectively raised 2 fingers to the Lord and screamed a final holy "bugger off"
by the way... if you stand on your head.. does that make god the devil?

Wow, this will revolutionise the civil enginering sector. I'll give my professors a call and inform of this great new discovery.
Just draw some crosses, recite a few prayers and we can cut the ammount of concrete in half. Score!
God holds back the water eh? The dam, built by humans (apparently quite sturdily built by humans) has nothing to do with the water being held back? So, I suppose instead of getting to work repairing the dam they should sit on their asses and ask god to fix it for them. Fuck you, fuck your religion and fuck your descendants for the next hundred years! Sanctimonious asshole!
Bible Belt=Tornado Belt
Coincidence?
The christians prayed in church, they were not spared when the plague hit.
conclusion: God does nothing, and Jesus is a cut out cardboard poster, but not an actual human, angel, or God.
God alone holds back the water.
Makes you wonder why they bothered building a dam in the first place, huh?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
