One of my fave thought experiments to ask people of all colors, sexes, and religion / no religion - those that think we are wrong to be on the sidewalk protesting abortion - is this:
"If they were taking black people in there (the abortion mill building) against their will and whipping the Hell out of them, and it was perfectly legal to do so, would you stand out here and protest that with us?"
Until recently, after asking that question over a couple of years to a couple of dozen people - Christians, agnostics, black and white, male and female, young and old - I finally got a "yes." It was a black couple in their early 40's, and it took them awhile to affirm that they would indeed protest this modern-day equivalent of slavery atrocities. They didn't immediately say "yes." But, they did eventually, as I talked to them about listening to Dr. King. All the others said "no." Including every single black person I met - most of whom claimed to be "christian," but not all.
Let that sink in, DJ. THAT is what we are dealing with. Shame on us all!
