I worry as much about atheist warlocks as I do about red blueness.
Also, how do we know that Hitler was an atheist? His decidedly non-atheist writings were all lies. How do we know that they were all lies? He was an atheist. You spin me right round, Hitler, right round, like that fundy logic, right round round round.
'Atheist' & 'warlock' are mutually exclusive.
Also, you obviously don't know what a warlock is.
The word 'warlock' actually means 'traitor.' I think you mean a male witch (which is a witch, or a wizard). Not that it matters, because magic isn't real.
And the "hitler thule society" search came up with a lot of crazed rambling conspiracy-theory/antichrist sites, none of which were credible.
You're a nutter; of course, you're on Resistance Manifesto, so what else can we expect?
@ Dr. Whom - Also, how do we know that Hitler was an atheist?
I think the fundie "logic" goes like this:
Step 1: Atheist are terrible people; Hitler was a terrible person; ergo, Hitler was an atheist.
Having "proved" Hitler was an atheist, then by the same "logic":
Step 2: Hitler was an atheist; Hitler was a terrible person; ergo, atheists are terrible people. QED.
If he was an atheist, why did he bother to say that the Jewish killed Jesus and that God told him to kill them?, why was the Vatican and several religious figures reluctant to condenm him and signed treaties with him?, moreover, is the whole universe willing to lie?
Just because one can find some ridiculous crap on a website, that doesn't mean that ridiculous crap is true.
Hitler was a Xian, fighter777, I'm sorry that bothers you, but that doesn't make it any less true.
Hitler and his inner circle were neo-pagans that is correct, which by defintion means they weren't atheists. Yawn!!
However, are you claiming Bush is a satanist who's lied about being an devout christian to gain power? Oh wait, its the resistance manifesto of course you are.
Hitler personally was not a member of the Thule Society, and was actually rather against the more esoteric and arcane practices of some of his followers.
That's just what I heard, though.
@fighter777
Hitler was an atheist...
Mein Kampf, asshole!
Why is it always about Hitler?
atheist: ...and that's why I think the Christian god isn't real.
fundie: well, you're just an atheist.. LIKE HITLER!
spectators: ooooo, burn

Atheist and 'warlock' would be mutually exclusive, don't ya think? Game, set and match.
If I google "hitler thule society," how many hits are going to be Hellboy?
Mike Mignola draws a rocking comic book, but it's by no means historical proof.
Okay, I went ahead and googled "hitler+thule+society" and neither Hellboy nor Dark Horse Comics are on the front page.
There is a page in the first results discussing links between the Thule Society and Skull & Bones.
Shrubadub is a Illoominaty!! OH NOEZ!!!
I played a warlock on WoW. Does that count?
No matter how much you try to deny it, Hitler was a Christian. Deal with it.
*blink*
Uhhh, riiight....
Hitler WAS a nutbag extraordinaire. He was quite known to have dabbled in the occult, and he gathered a number of practitioners to his aid. He did send out expeditions to collect reputed artifacts of power to help ensure his success. Hard to be atheist and still be THAT superstitious.
And I guess "warlock" sounds more sinister than "wizard" or "mage," hence the rampant misuse. Even the non-fundies make that mistake. Hell, even caught JK Rowling tons of times in that one....
Hm. I swear I heard somewhere that Hitler was wary of the Occult... probably just confusing "Hitler's Occultism < Other's".
Though, guys, I'm really not seeing how you need to be a theist to beleive in the supernatural in general. Hitler was a Christian, no doubts there, I'm just saying magic != gawd.
agentCDE: When the "magical" artifacts you're seeking are all RELIGIOUS magical artifacts, such as the Spear of Longinus, which have their entire raison d'etre tied up with God (or at least A god), it's pretty clear that the kind of occultism involved here was oriented along lines of religious belief.
Hitler may have believed in some "secular" woo as well, such as astrology, but the artifact searches were clearly motivated by religious belief.
~David D.G.
David: It may be true that he was going after Christian artifacts, but everyone here seems to be implying that to be a 'warlock' at all and practice magic one has to believe in God. This is clearly quite silly, though; I don't need to believe in a divine being of any sort to think I can manipulate the weather with arcane might.
How can someone have satanic beliefs, be a warlock AND be an atheist?
You're quite mad, you know.
yes, atheists do have a tenancy to practice magic and attempt genocide on the grounds of "killing Jesus" (BTW doesn't the bible claim the Jesus was supposed to be killed from the start? So if anything, blame the Christians)
Hmm, all of MY warlocks worshipped dark gods or goddesses, so, if anything, an atheist warlock would be put at a disadvantage...
And why does every Fundie use Hitler as "The One Evil Bad Person to Compare all the other Evil Bad People to"? Can't they be a little more creative and mention names like Billy the Kid, Blackbeard the Pirate, or Bonnie and Clyde?
"You're an atheist...JUST LIKE BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE!"
Okay, Hitler only joined the Thule Society to dismantle it. He dispised secret societies, caliming they were all runs by the Jews. He actually loved Jesus so much, he was killing His people for a bunch of folks descended from illiterate Vikings.
Hitler was guilty of many things, being an atheist wasn't one of them. It doesn't matter how many times you boneheads keep denying it, old Adolf was a christian.
Where's that belt buckle photo when you need it?
While the concept of 'atheist warlock' may be debatable, - although, I'd prefer a definition of 'warlock' first - , you definitely cannot be an atheist and have 'satanic beliefs'
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
