Catholicism is not Christianity. Catholicism is a cult that teaches a false gospel of works ("sacraments") that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1:6-9).
Catholicism cannot save. Only Jesus saves.
The only way to go to heaven and not to eternal hell is by believing in this life that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!
Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose again. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)

Catholics believe that Christ was the son of God, was born of a virgin, and was resurrected after dying on the cross for the sins of humanity. Ergo, they, too, are Christians. Get over it.
"Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose again. Thank You for eternal life!""
As someone who was raised catholic, I can safely say that that's pretty much what the whole thing is about.
Um... and who do you think it was that codified all that claptrap? Ever heard of the Nicene Creed? It's that nifty thing which defines Christianity and was written by the Catholic Church.
I suggest you look it up if you've not heard of it.
I'm sorry, the correct answer is.....the Mormons.
But thanks for playing, we've got a wonderful consolation prize: day and night for eternity in the tropical HELL! (tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable)
Ohhh, I've been waiting to use this one ...

Why is Valium the most requested product a hemorrhoid remedy, and the most prescribed medicine Valium?
Because the good fathers are sick of dealing with fundie fucktards like you!
Tell ya what, I'mma tell my cradle Catholic mother she's not a Christian, lock her in a room with you, and then I'll go off to the mall for about six hours and let you both out. Howzat for an idea?

Uhmmm...they do? They just think you need to do more than PRAISE JEEBUS, and get into heaven.
A little girl on my gymnastics team kept telling me this, and every time I told her that I didn't have a religion, she metaphorically shat herself.
It was just unthinkable for her, and pathetically hilarious for me.
Pauline Christianity is not Christianity. Pauline Christianity is a cult that teaches a false gospel of getting saved by just believing in Jesus being gods son, that leads to nowhre.
Pauline Christianity cannot save. Only your efforts to discover yourself save.
The only way to go to heaven and not stay in earthly reincarnations over and over again is to believe that Jesus was a wise gnostic teacher who wanted to teach you how to find your inner light. Believe this and act accordingly and you are saved!
Fixed
Of course they are christians! Can be as fundie as any other christian branch and use the same books for reference. The only difference is they have saints for everything (making it almost polytheistic) and they have a "king" living in a tiny country inside Rome who's also a fundie.
Other than that: ridiculousness , craziness, corruption, intolerance, etc it's all there.
Catholicism is not Christianity.
Prior to the Reformation the Catholic Church was the only Christian Church.

I have a natural inbuilt resistance to any action or attitude that would legitimize Human sacrifice.
Here I was thinking that Catholicism was a branch of Christianity. You know, like the Baptists or Lutherans or Pentecostals.
Nope, its a cult becaue they believe in Jesus.
Catholicism is a threat to fundie-ism. That's your only reason for dissing them.
Catholics do believe that "Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!". Just because there is more to their spiritual journey does not mean they believe differently.
You're just jealous.

Not entirely correct, there was also eastern orthodox christianity. Due to theological differences they drifted apart very early from the rome centered western catholicism and, during the heyday of the byzantine empire, were a powerful counterweight to the catholic church
I was raised (no pun intended) Catholic and JC is at the center of it all. It can be unsettling for a kid to hear that the Nicest Guy in the World died "for your sins." Me? You mean, every time I tease my sister or lie about not eating cookies before dinner, he's taking the fall for it?
"...Believe this and you are saved! ..."
The trouble with that is, rational people can't force themselves to believe superstitious twaddle.
You use their dogma, yet you condemn them as hellbound.
Please complete that thread of logic, and go to hell yourself.
I'd rather reincarnate as a dog in Iran than be stuck in any one imaginary place forever.
@Nutz
I think there's also the fact that they venerate a lowly woman, some chick named Mary, who just happened to be lucky enough to bear their savior. Crazy, that.
1) Please pray now: "There is no God but God, and Mohammed is his prophet" and you will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)
2) Please pray now: "Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Krishna Rama, Rama Hare" and you will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)
3) Please pray now: ""Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose again. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)
4) Please pray now: "Toilet tissue, soft and mild, please make my soul as clean as you make my bottom" and you will be in heaven when you die.
Sacraments is not "good works". You´re confusing the concepts. It´s the rituals that enable you to be closer to God. And, by the way, now that you say that Jesus saves, he commanded to do good works. Do a little research, before opening your mouth.
Confused?
