I think the information before this is equally important. Just to put this in context.if without an abortion the baby and mother die, but with an abortion only the baby dies, would that not be ok? was what i was getting at.
who has more power over life, a doctor or god, who has had more time to live, the baby or the mother? who should get a chance? god should decide who lives and who dies.

So she thinks the other person is calling the baby an animal and is imagining that they are making a quick decision a bout the child's life when the point is that they will both die otherwise.

I'm not even sure what she's trying to say here. that animals can't commit suicide? That only humans can kill animals? That the killing of a human means the victim was really an animal?
She is so rabidly pro-life that she can't see the difference between a pregnancy and a pregnancy + an adult's life. What if this woman has children nitwit? You'd rather that they go on without a mother when her life couldve been saved? Maybe she is a single mother, you want child services to take off with the kids and they end up in a foster home? Why would the semi-formed glob of pre-child within her belly be worth more then the lives of all of the living members of the family?
Humans are animals. By aborting a pregnancy we are making an informed decision about the future of the mother who, since she chose to abort, is probably in circumstances that disallow her from giving the child a good start in life. This has NOTHING to do with [not]being animals, so your point is effectively moot. Yes, it is a human's choice to abort a pregnancy, and we make those choices consciously, intelligently and with regard to all parties concerned.

Oh. So those wildlife documentaries where, for instance, we see a zebra being killed by a lion it is actually being killed by....what? A human in a lion suit? A remote conrolled lion? I've actually seen it happen for real - man, that lion costume was lifelike!
