Actually I love AIG and the museum.
Everyboby's entitled to their own opinion, no matter how unprovable and idiotic that opinion may be.
I donated alot of money to see that museum built.
There are always people who will pay good money to others to lie to them or tell them what they want to hear. That doesn't mean what you paid to hear will be true.
I know I will be rewarded for that in heaven.
I especially like the parts of the bible where it go's on and on about being rewarded in heaven for advancing the cause of creationism with anti-science propaganda... Oh wait, the bible neither gurantees nor suggest a reward for those things. Those ideas are born of your own arrogance, delusions of granduer, and overinflated sense of self importance.
I know that I helped put a dent in Satan's plans and a thrin in his side to slow him down.
Typical fundie self important dreck "Everything I don't like or disagree with is actually a plot directed by Satan himself to attack me personally, and christianity vicariously."
That makes me smile knowing that children do have a choice between good and evil and that the truth is making a comeback.
You don't want to give children a choice, you want free reign to force your interpretation of religious dogma as fact in a science class, without a shread of proof and to the exclusion of any and all ideas that don't agree with your own.
Since kids are brainwashed with evil at school, (teaching of socialism, evolution, sex, gayism, etc.)
Teaching something is not in any way alagous to "brainwashing", that's just another fundie codeword for "Presenting an opinion that is not my own.". First off, they don't teach "socialism" in public schools, there is no "socialism class in high schools, In fact I'll bet that you couldn't even give the proper definition of socialism. I don't recall any biblical proscription against socialism, nor do I think that you could give a distinct chapter and verse if pressed on the issue.
Second, there is no biblical proscription against the theory of evolution, or the teaching of it. The idea that there is a modern opinion held by minority of fundies.
Finally, I'll take the last two together, There is nothing inherently "evil" about sex education, and no teenager or teenage couple has ever decided to have sex because of anything they learned in a sex-ed class. Abstinence-only education (A misnomer if there ever was one) has been proven to be, in multiple studies, completely ineffective and areas in which it was in wide use have all seen a marked rise in teen pregnancies, abortions in high school age girls, and the rate of STD infectionss in high school age males and females. As for your swipe at homosexuals... WTF is "gayism"? I can only assume that you meant to imply that schools are somehow teaching children how to be gay, which is, of course not even plausible being that gender attraction is neither subject to the will, nor teachable. It's simply a cheap shot at public schools for not teaching your particular brand of bigotry and hatred as if it were incontravertable fact.
we as church members and parents can counter that negative culture at home by monitorijng what the kids are being taught at school
You have every right to do so in your own home, and with your own children. But that isn't what you are advocating. You're goal is, and has always been the teaching of christian based creationism as science in public schools. All your high minded rhetoric aside your purpose in this is two-fold 1) To deny to your own children knowledge that might lead them to question christianity. 2) To institutionalize christianity in the public schools and use that to indoctrinate children who's parents raised them in a differant religion or no religion at all.
and explaining why evolution is wrong , anti-Church, and why it's in the textbooks
There is nothing implicitly anti-religion or anti-church about evolutionary theory, if there were then it would not be so widely accepted by the vast majority of christians. All anyone has to do is look past your "evolution is an evil satanic plot" propaganda and look at the theory itself to see that it is silent on matters of origins of life and on matters of religion.
and why the Binle is right and the ultimate book tjey should refer to in any situation, especially a school situation.
So if a classmate were to innocently ask their christian friend to come to a hindu temple, mosque, of non-christian place of worship should the christian kid refer to the bible in that situation and kill their friend as the bible commands them to do? You should read the book before you go around advocating it as the be all end all solution to everything.
believe it or not, we are makimg headwayIf you don;t believe it, try teaching evolution in a Mississippi high school class. The students will pass the test on evolution just fine., Theur answers will follow the lesson in the book to a "T". It's their hearts that are doubting what's the book says. Many students just put down the correct answer according to the book to satisfy the teacher. it doesn't mean they actually believe evoltuion ever happened.
You take pride in teaching your children to be willfully ignorant? What the fuck is wrong with you? Teaching evolution has never been a contest between religion and science, it's never been about forcing students to believe in evolution it's been about presenting the best availible scientific knowledge. Students have always been free to make up their own minds on the matter. This is not a contest, it's about giving children the education they deserve.
Even when I was in college (10 years ago)
Given that the story you tell sounds exactly like an urban legend I've heard many, many times, I find myself doubting that this event ever happened, or that you even when to collage in the first place.
our physical science survey professor got laughed at by three out of four students
The very thought of that is ludicrous and reinforces my opinion that you have not so much as stepped foot in a college classroom or lecture hall.
when he tried to force us to accept evolution.
Teaching you science in a science classroom if not "forcing" you to accept anything. Teachers are not in the business of "forcing" people to accept any theory or idea
Our faith and ou learning through the last 18 - 20 years at church countered his anti-faith message
What "anti-faith" message? There is absolutely nothing in or about evolutionary theory that so much as references religious faith or the origins of life. Your entire argument is based around misconceptions and false propaganda.
Luckily he dropped the subject and moved on when he realized he was outnumbered three to one.
Oh bullshit! Do you really expect people to believe that a college professor because three students started spouting creationist talking points? And where there only you three students in the classroom, of course there weren't, and if you expect anyone to believe that the rest of the class just sat there in awe of your creationist rhetoric then you really haven't ever stepped foot in a college classroom.
This is the stuff dreams are made of an why if so dearly and financially support AIG and the creationism movement whenever I can.
Another fool and his money have parted ways, how utterly predictible.
I know that the future of civilization depends on people who know the truth or our existance
Civilizations don't advance with the albatross of dogma and superstition around their necks.
One must also infer from your statement that you you see a future in which those who's religious beliefs differ from yours have also been removed.
and the purpose behind our universe that God spoke into existance some 6000 years ago.
And what purpose is that? It's not found in your so-called holy book, and your "god" has remaind forever silent on the matter. If the entire universe were just 6000 years old then why did your god go to such lengnths to make it appear otherwise?
I will continue to be a thorn in the side of evolutionary teaching until the day I die
You are hardly a thorn, you're not even an irritating speck. What's really sad is that you see this as a contest that's all about you vs. science, and thats not what it is at all. And you will leave your children undereducated and less able to compete, all so you can tell yourself that you were victorius over something that dosen't even consider you an enemy.
I will do everything in my power to make sure that children know to reject this evil teaching with scripture when presented in the classroom.
You take pride in teaching your children to disrupt the education of others? Are you so fucking arrogant that you think it's your place to ensure that someone else child has his or her education disrupted?
The war is far from over my friend. It has only begun.
Well enjoy your pointless one-sided war, society and science will move along just fine without you.
