Truthfully, I think this "straw man" peanut butter argument is still more plausible than the geologic column, Piltdown man, Archeoraptor, Haekel's fake drawings or any number of fraudulent evolutionary proofs. Peddle your religion somewhere else. Evolution requires too much faith for me.

The geologic column exists, and can be clearly seen in many places due to overlapping rock formations. There are even a few places(there's one in North Dakota and one in Australia, as I recall) where the whole column can be seen.
Haeckel may have exaggerated with the embryos, but the basic principle behind comparative studies of embryos is valid.
OK, Piltdown Man and Archaeoraptor are hoaxes. The scientific community knows this, and neither one is cited as evidence for evolution.
However, you have yet to explain away Tiktaalik, Ichthyostega, Cynognathus, Morganucodon, Scutellosaurus, Archaeopteryx, Ambulocetus, and Australopithecus.
What is the deal with the geologic column, anyway? You can see big chunks of it by going to the Grand Canyon, so instead of trying to explain why strata exist, why is it that so many creationists deny the whole thing when the evidence is right in front of them?
It's bad enough to disagree with evolutionary evidence -- that can be justified, to an extent. But to simply deny what is quite evident in some parts of the world... that baffles me.
Truthfully, I think this "straw man" fundie person is still more plausible than flood geology, dirt men and rib women, dinosaurs living with humans a la the Flintstones, denialism, or any number of laughably ridiculous arguments for creationism. Peddle your religion somewhere else. Creationism requires too few brain cells for me.
Not only a strawman but one of the worst. Low oil-peanut butters (such as Kraft) are very resistant to bacteria influence. We keep ours on a shelf, never refrigerate it and never introduce anything to it but clean silverware.
Try putting some jam in it and see what happens.
This is their extent of experimentation or research, come up with something that is resistant to bacteria life, refrigerate it and claim that that has everything needed for life to form, according to science. Because that is EXACTLY like conditions on early Earth, processed peanut butter, according to idiots like that and his deluded fanbase.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
