I'm feeling a temptation coming over me right now. I need as many prayer warriors to help me with this demon as possible.
Thanks to you and God in advance.

This does not count as "fundie." If anything, it's seemingly meant to be anti-Pentecostal rather than anti-"fundie." This website's definition--"An archive of the most hilarious, bizarre, ignorant, bigoted, and terrifying quotes from fundies all over the internet!"--does not fit with this quote that has been submitted. One of the fastest growing denominations worldwide (check out its Wikipedia article), the Pentecostal church, while I agree with nearly nothing it promotes, is well represented by such doctrines and practices (or even offices and alleged "spiritual gifts") as "prayer warriors." I believe this submission was made in spite or ignorance. Either way, in all honesty, it ought to be removed, as it does not conform to the standards set forth by this website.
Dokken/Dream Warriors parody
I lie awake and pray through lonely nights
But I’m not alone
I wonder if my steady cries
Can wait until morn
From my toes to eyes, I’ve been baptized
And I’m gonna pray
I’m kneeling in the night alone
Forever and ever
We’re the prayer warriors
Don’t wanna pray alone
We’re the prayer warriors
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you’ll atone
They say I’m touched in the head
I broke my brain
I hear the voices callin out
They say I’m insane
Its the same desire to avoid the hell-fire
Thats comin’ your way
I’m kneeling on my couch at home
To sever, satan’s tether
We’re the prayer warriors
Don’t wanna pray alone
We’re the prayer warriors
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you’ll atone
God’s revenge, a bitter end
This time
Holy prayers and delusion
Bound together waiting for you
Prayer warriors
Don’t wanna pray alone
We’re the prayer warriors
And maybe tonight you’ll atone
We’re the prayer warriors
Don’t wanna pray alone
We’re the prayer warriors
And maybe tonight
Maybe tonight you’ll atone
Prayer warriors
Maybe tonight you’ll atone
Prayer warriors, forever
Prayer warriors
Maybe tonight you’ll atone
Prayer warriors
I cannot help but feel sorry for these individuals that have been brainwashed by their church into thinking that their body is evil and sinful and must be purged by hellfire or tribulation.
It is one thing to have a philosophical, Platonic view that one cannot see reality clearly while in the body, but when a religious or political group starts branding irrational thought patterns into the mind of youths, it is a sad and dangerous--and yes, fundy-- situation. I know it has been going on for nearly 2,000 yrs but it has caused lots of unnecessary hurt and sorrow in the human race.
But I'm only assuming that the OP is referring to repression of natural urges. People with drug and alcohol addictions may call their problems "demons" metaphorically but they will need a whole lot more than prayer to deal with something like that. Even on a Billy Graham television special, some Christian guy was on there saying that even though they got saved, there is still no cure for alcoholism for them.
Why can't one person do the job? Is God deaf or something?
Matthew 6: 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
The fundieness in this post is thinking that "prayer warriors" praying for you over the internet is going to do anything at all. If the temptation involves drug or alcohol addiction, going to an AA meeting or calling your counselor would actually do some good. If the temptation involves sexual activity (appropriate or not) then see a good shrink. This praying over the internet crap is pure superstition.
Confused?
