All too often I've heard this idea of "you can't be friends with non-Christians" from fundies. I had a fundie friend tell me that "Jesus didn't hang out with sinners" which is in direct contradiction to various passages which said he dined with prostitutes, tax collectors, and other despicable people of the day. It's a form of isolation brainwashing which I'm not too sorry to see them isolate themselves from me. If my religious beliefs are the most important thing to them, then they can't be true friends.
Though it is sad when fundies isolate themselves from family members because of this.

I'd be happy to stand with Jesus. He's just got that crazy dad and some of his followers are intolerant assholes. So I guess I'm going to have to stand with Lucifer.

Lucifer and Satan are not the same entity. Lucifer was the God of the sun and morning in some pre-christian Pagan traditions.
Bonus: I think his name is beautiful, but that's just my opinion. What I posted above that is fact, however.
If you're going to argue theology, it would benefit you to actually learn some . Would it kill you people to do a little research so that you understand (at the very least) your own religion?

When Jesus heard it, he said to [him], "They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." (Mark 2:17)
But aren't both Jesus and the devil part of the same christian bullshit? If I don't believe there is sufficient evidence to justify belief in gods, wouldn't I reject all of the christian bullshit, including both Jesus and the devil? Why would I not accept one while accepting the other?
