"In today's democracy,free speech is free speech only and only if Christianity isn't in the speech"
We in the UK don't have a constitution. We are subjects of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Sure we have free speech, but there are limits. For starters, said teacher was going beyond the bounds of his job description (and 'proseltysing' isn't teaching, it's forcing one's viewpoint upon another). Besides, even teaching Christianity has to be subject to the National Curriculum in RE, and as such, it's illegal to claim that what the Bible says is fact; it has to be taught alongside scientific evidence, even if it's contrary to the beliefs of said RE teacher.
No Kitzmiller vs. Dover required. Even 'Faith' schools in this country have to teach the Big Bang, Evolution etc as fact. The law says so.
"That's the truth and that's the fact!"
Religious 'truth' != Fact. Kitzmiller vs. Dover in the US and laws governing the National Curriculum in the UK say otherwise.
Your 'truth' = Lies.
"Democracy is an application NOT by Islam, nor by atheism, nor by liberalism, nor by amoral practices, but by Bible-practicing believers of Jesus Christ. That's the truth and that's the fact!"
Democracy is descended from the combination of the Greek words 'Demos' ('The People') and 'Kratos' ('Strength').
Strength of the People = Democracy. And the concept of Democracy was invented in Ancient Greece.
The USA has a slogan: E Pluribus Unum ('From Many, One'). I also suggest you have a read-through that Constitution of yours. Y'know, the very document that is the basis of your country. Notice something? Yes, that's right.
In neither case are 'God' or 'Jesus' mentioned*
I love the smell of destroyed arguments in the morning. Smells like... victory.
*- His4Life tried to claim otherwise. She failed. As will you TheGospelWitness, if you try to argue the toss with us on FSTDT.
@JohnTheAtheist
"Actually democracy is the mortal enemy of all religion. When people don't have to do as they are told, without fear of being roasted alive, adherence to religion and it's myths tend to decline."
Exactly. The likes of TheGospelWitness would prefer it if their country was purely a theocracy, the antithesis of a democracy. In which case, I suggest they look no further than Iran and Saudi Arabia. Indeed, they should go and live in those countries, if the idea of a country in which Church and State are separate is so repugnant to them.
Trust me, in six months, they'd be fighting each other to get on the next flight to JFK or LaGuardia to breathe free air, and gaze upon the Statue of Liberty & everything she represents.
