This feels... insulting? Like, it's directly ripping pages out of the LGBT Book of Comforting Each Other and applying it to people who don't like that we're getting rights.
It's absolutely slimy and insulting.

Just what I was about to say. Disguising their bigotry as persecution.
Seriously?
A) You can believe that, but what about those who believe gay marriage is perfectly fine? No, what you're really hoping for is forcing your beliefs on everyone else. You're guilty of making gay people feel alone, ashamed and scared. So don't try twist this around into making people think that by not allowing you to persecute others, you are being persecuted.
B) You were never ashamed of your idea of marriage. You're only trying to play victim so that gay marriage is banned, catering to your narrow view of the world.
C) You've demonstrated that you don't even know what persecution is like. You've made a mockery of actual persecution. If you're so afraid of how people are treating Christians, then why not deal with actual persecution happening around the world? Oh, that's right. Gays marrying is much more horrifying than Christians being sentenced to death. Something makes me doubt you're even sincere in your beliefs.
D) Adultery. Why not fight against divorce and adultery with the same amount of venom? I forgot. That would inconvenience you people.
The following is the best reply to those against the SCOTUS ruling.

US BELIEVERS ARE NOT ALONE!
Society might hate us believers but my god speaks the truth and i know this because i have felt him in my life. Who are you to tell me my beliefs are wrong and that i can't want to save others from sinning? My god has made it very clear where his stance on marriage is through the teachings in his holy book. Now not all of you might believe in the book i believe in and thats okay, but it is the truth. There are many books out there with different gods, but mine is the only god and i know this because the book said so and i just know. I'm tired being judged for my beliefs about what marriage is, since i know my beliefs to be true since my god said so himself. Now I love all heterosexuals and i have a lot of heterosexual friends, but my god has made it clear that marriage is not to be between two people of opposite gender. That doesn't mean heterosexuals can't be loved by god, or that they can't be happy. They just can't marry other heterosexuals because that is a sin. I'm tired of being judged for my beliefs when i know they are my god's word. Its not fair that i have to explain to my kids why its okay for two heterosexuals to get married and have kids when the book I've raised my kids on says its a sin. Just because you believe differently then me DOES NOT give you the right to affect my life and my kids with your beliefs.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
