Okay, a holiday might be a little extreme, but what's wrong with a few parks in honor of a hometown boy done good?
Besides, Hawaii pretty much pulls its own weight. I say we evict some moocher state like Mississippi.

I live in Hawai'i, and a large number of people here actually would like to secede from the Union and reestablish the Hawai'ian monarchy. In fact when we had our 50th anniversary of joining the union last summer, celebrations were more or less mute. There were more protests than there were celebrations. In fact, in downtown Honolulu they cut out the fiftieth star from the flag and burnt it.
But yeah, I suppose an independent Hawai'ian kingdom would be preferable to being governed by the likes of Clint, here...
