[Thread about gay marriage...]
This is all I'll say about this thread. I feel the same way about protecting myself and my country if a radical minority ever forces the government to enact pretend "marriages" between people of the same-sex, as our founding fathers did when they wrote the declaration of independence.
Take that how you will.

So, you think yourself to be standing up for liberty by denying people the liberty to be who they are? You are willing to be put to death for your views against same-sex marriage?
There is nothing radical about being homosexual.
Just because homosexuals are a minority does not in any way mean that they are some how wrong or that they are any less citizens than the majority.
Exactly how are you or your country in need of protection from homosexuals?
What about everyone else protecting itself from the radical minority of Xian fundyism?
A much more valid question, since gay people are usually unwilling to impose their views upon the majority, aking simply for equality under the law, like the constitution promises.
You know, I love it when they use the word "Force." As in "forced the government to do X." It makes it sound like the government really didn't want to, but did anyway because they were afraid of the radical "homosexual agenda." In reality, laws get passed because a majority of people get elected who think like the people. If the government ever "caves" to an interest group, it's because they think the group has a good, supportable position.
as our founding fathers did when they wrote the declaration of independence.
So start your own country asswipe.
The Watcher: Gov't "caves" to special interest groups when they have either a lot of money to offer or have pictures of politicians in compromising positions and for few other reasons (though in some cases they do get something right, such as some states allowing gay marriage).
Some of the complaints against King George listed in the Declaration of Independence:
For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
The complaints listed by Bees:
He let people of the same sex marry each other
Sorry, bees, but your complaint seems pretty trivial compared to those of the colonists.
Yeah, except the Founding Fathers had a real complaint against Britain. You, on the other hand, do not (against anyone).
Let me make this clear to you:
2 consenting adults + 1 closed door = NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS!
Redhunter: Where the fuck did you find that picture, and do I really want to know?
if a radical minority ever forces the government to enact pretend "marriages" between people of the same-sex
What kind of force would they use? Would they withhold their services from Baptist preachers?
Confused?
