I've noticed that a lot of people are practically doing backflips everytime they hear a human soldier die in Iraq, but looking at these statistics, that is dwindled in comparison. WHY aren't we OUTRAGED by this ATROCITY? WHY? That is MY question, I am simply AMAZED that people find this acceptable, and it is simply a shame on us all, for allowing such a tragedy to occur.

Well, if blastulae=person, then the number one cause of death is random copying errors or inhospitable uterus or whatever random thing causes the vast majority of fertilized eggs to not implant or to spontaneously abort.

I suppose I am not outraged for the simple reason that a foetus is not a person. It is not a member of society. Its existence is dependent upon the willingness of a person to carry it for nine months. And should that person choose to end the pregnancy, it is the sole decision of that person and no one else.
I agree with Luffy. Especially if half the deaths are from abortion. Our population is growing exponentially as it is, so, according to you, without abortion, our population would likely be over 10 billion.
Well, counting even abortion as a "death," the leading cause of death would be antibiotics. Do you know how many bacteria are killed with them? They want to live just as much as the fetus does, and suffer just as much as the fetus does! The second-leading cause of death would likely be sex; whether you abort the fetus or not, a large number of sperm were killed beforehand. Every sperm is sacred! Let's end these atrocities!
Amos, if those abortion statistic are correct, assuming you count abortions, that would make them responsible for roughly a third of worldwide deaths by my estimates. Th eoverall death number you site were lower than I expected, but it's possibly this guy's figures are correct.

We all know how reliable are those non-supported statistics.
They should be thanking god for abortions. Before they became legal, doctors would snap an unwanted baby's neck before it could draw it's first breath and mark it down as "stillborn".
If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one. But again, all people are given a choice and you cannot decide who is wrong or right. Your god will take care of that. Remember " Vengeance is mine, sayeth the lord". It's in your bible.
Up until a few months, the fetus can't feel any pain. After that, I believe abortion should be murder. Why would you do something so terrible to something that can feel it?
I also believe the father should have some say, too. It's just as much his kid as it is the mother's. Many women deny it's the father's too until she wants child support payments...
