If you believe what the Bible says, you won't go on some killing spree.
Jesus Christ is not some scapegoat, believing is a way of life.

Care to take a tour of death row and see just how wrong you are?

Right. Keep telling yourself that.
Eric Rudolph, Timothy McVeigh, Torquemada, Joshua(at Jericho, on God's orders), the guy at Virginia Tech, the guy who attacked the Unitarian Church in Tennessee, the Crusaders, and Adolph Hitler would like a word with you.
I've yet to go on a killing spree.
Shit, I don't even kill bugs. I scoop them up on a piece of paper and fling them back outside onto the lawn.
You really don't know anything, do you?
"Scape goat," comes from the practice of the ancient Israelites to take two goats, and sacrifice one, and send the other out into the wilderness, taking with it the sins of their people. That goat was, literally, the scape goat.
In your religion, Christ is a scape goat, taking upon him sins that are not his own.
Learn your own religion, dumbass.

Why not? Doing "God's work" isn't good enough for you?

ORLY?
The Bible gloriously describes several killing sprees, and the technical term for piling the groups sins on another and punishing them instead of the group, is scapegoating. Its a discusting, primitive and immoral practice, and its the basis of your entire religion.
If you believe in the literal truth of the bible than you also believe that god himself ordered several killing sprees which didn´t even spare women and children. And that god himself killed people on several occasions, sometimes just for criticizing him.
It is all part of the old testament ;-)

Except for all those people who belived what the bible said and still went on a killing spree.
Actually, reading the Bible made me *want* to go on a killing spree, in the name of Bible-God. If the ancient Hebrew tribes could get away with it, why can't I?

*Unless it's a killing spree involving witches (Exodus 22:17), homosexuals (Leviticus 20:13), those who disobey parents (Leviticus 20:9), fortunetellers (Leviticus 20:17), fornicators (Lev 21:9), atheists (2 Chronicles 15:12-13), people of other religions (Exodus 22:19), blasphemers (Lev 24:10-16), women who are not virgins on their wedding night (Deuteronomy 22:20-21), adulterers (Lev 20:10), those who work on the Sabbath (Exodus 31:12-15) and curious people (1Samuel 6:19-20).
Confused?
