Just think about that for a few moments. What other group would lose all purpose if a segment of society was erradicated? Does the KKK come to mind? They would certainly have no reason to exist if every black person was killed.....

Umm, every other group. All groups and movements are there to address a problem that affects a segment of the population. If you kill the affected individuals, the group has no reason to exist. Since everyone (except fundies) consider genocide to be unacceptable, it's a kind of meaningless point, though.
Does the KKK come to mind? They would certainly have no reason to exist if every black person was killed.....
Why choose the KKK as your example? Obviously, if all whites were killed, there would be no need for the NAACP. If we killed all sick people, there'd be no need for doctors. If we killed all poor people, there'd be no need for welfare or charities. If we killed all people not born educated, there'd be no need for teachers. If all torture victims were killed, there would be no need for Amnesty International. (Actually, there would be, since they'd oppose the killing.) If all nonhuman animals were killed, there'd be no need for PETA. (Of course, PETA would be in favor of such killing if it were done "humanely," so I propose that there's no need for them now. ) Nonetheless, you get the idea.

If Segment of Society A is causing a world of trouble for Segment of Society B, how is it "hatred" for B to oppose the problems caused by A? I guess the abolitionists must have had some real hate problems, since they dealt solely with the "perceived" problems from the white slaveowning segment of society.
While it is true feminism would vanish if no men were around, that doesn't eliminate its meaning. Real feminism is about equality, not a matriarchal society. The KKK is about white supremacy. With a few other little rules thrown in. Such as you can't be of certain religions. Oh, and you have to be heterosexual and beat your wife as well.

Actually, I read somewhere that scientists can actually get the material to make babies from X chromosomes alone--Y chromosomes weren't needed. Don't remember where I read it, but now I'm off to look it up.

The only problem with the feminist movement is that Ann Coulter would've had to have stayed a man to be heard if it didn't exist. And frankly I adore the role women play in society, so no complaints from me.

@Julian: Actually, Hitler was Austrian. He grew up on the border between Austria and Germany where some of the inhabitants considered themselves to be German, even though they were living in Austria. And back then, many people thought that Germany and Austria should be one and the same because they were both German-speaking countries. Hitler was in denial about his nationality, as he was about many things.
But that doesn't defeat the point you made. You're right, one shouldn't judge a whole barrel of apples by one or even a few bad apples.
As for Incorect, when you form a group that deals with problems from a certain segment of society, that doesn't mean that you hate that segment of society. Enpowerment is not always about destroying the oppressor. It was wrong of you to compare the KKK with feminism since they have completely different goals. Your argument is pointless and pitiful.

Nobody, except maybe a few nutcase fringe types, wants to see men eliminated. Feminism is about equality, it's about treating all human beings as equals regardless of gender. It's not about female superiority or anything stupid like that
Well, if there were no human beings, for whatever reason, problems such as discrimination wouldn´t exist. It´s as stupid as saying that if the universe didn´t exist, the portion of the income devoted to NASA and their projects would disappear.
