No, evolution had contributed in no way to medicine, but caused murder to be legalised (heart transplant, abortions, euthanasia) . Also the number of suicides has risen since this theory was popularised. Antibiotics were discovered by accident by Alexander Fleming who was a Christian and had nothing to with evolutionary theories. Or I should say rediscovered, as many other cultures used antibiotics in their raw form in the ancient times.

Surely you've heard the VERIFIED NEWS REPORTS of a man who wakes up in a bathtub of ice, looks at his chest, sees his heart has been removed, and dies of fright.
Just forgetting the weirdness of including heart transplants in that list for a moment (but seriously, WTF?). But how are abortions and euthanasia consequences of the ToE? Does this clot think there were no forced miscarriages or people committing suicide because they could no longer stand pain or illness before the Origin of Species?
And the ToE lets us understand why bacteria grow immune to antibiotics and why it is not a good idea to take them for every little small illness or to pump the meat we are eating full of them.
"No, evolution had contributed in no way to medicine"
You are, without a doubt, one of the most ignorant people on the planet if you truly think that. Evolution has contributed greatly medicine. The most obvious is vaccinations and the treatment of bacterial infections. Don't let your ideology get in the way of the truth or anything.
Wait, how is a heart transplant murder?
As for the rest, [citation needed].
<em>...caused murder to be legalised (heart transplant, abortions, euthanasia)</em>
First:
<ul>
<li>Monty Python's The meaning of life sketch on organ donation is not factual. it is just an overexaggeration of the idea behind it. In real life, organs are removed from the body AFTER their previous owner dies.</li>
<li>Abortion isn't murder, since only a lump of cells gets removed, for the umpteenth time.</li>
<li>Euthanasia means to LET someone who is either done with life, or so ill or injured that no recovery is possible, die with dignity rather than being kept alive until they are little more than a corpse tied to a machine.</li>
All in all, only that last one could be called murder, if you are one of those people who believe only god can decide when we are "allowed" to die.
Second, quote your research. I wasn't able to find any statistics regarding Suicide prior to 1950, let alone from 1859 (the year in which On the Origin of Species was published.) Also, the information I could find implied that since the 80's, the suicide rates have been going down.
Third, do a little more research. Evolution theory has been used to predict how diseases would adapt against antibiotics, making it so that we have better understanding as to why antibiotics become less effective over prolonged use.
1 What does evolution have to do with those three things?
2 How is a heart transplant, a life-saving operation, murder?
3 A heart transplant is a life saving operation, so it should be close enough.
Accidentally using herbs that happen to contain something beneficial is in now way comparable to actually understanding how and why medicine works, to the point where we can create new molecules according to our understanding of chemistry and biology. For fuck's sake, before the industrial revolution about a fourth of children used to die before their first birthday, and about as many between their first and their fifth. People never get how terrible the past really was.
What color is the sky in your world, Panait?
Neither heart transplants, nor abortions, nor euthanasia has anything to do with diversity of life. Abortions have been done for as long as there have been humans observant enough to realize that certain plants can dislodge embryos from the womb.
I doubt that there were reliable statistics over suicide rates 150 years ago, when the theory was "popularised".
Yes, antibiotics were discovered by Flemming, but as viruses evolved immunity to antibiotics, we need new ones every few years, so antibiotics are very closely connected with the ToE. As Dr Flemming was a medical doctor, he must have studied "evolutionary theories" several times during his education. Darwin was a Christian for most of his life too, ya know. He was, at most, somewhat agnostic towards the end.
Dude, just a hint: "Arson, Murder and Jaywalking" lines have the harmless thing named last, not first. That's what makes it so funny, because you don't expe- ...oh nevermind, you were probably serious about the heart transplant thing.
@Mike Litoris
A heart transplant is murder? In what way?
I think this might be part of the belief that the heart contains the soul and removing the heart creates a soul-less (and thus dead) walking body, much like a zombie. However, I do want to know how someone from the 19th century got cryogenically frozen to be thawed out in 2013. I didn't know they had that kind of technology back then.
So you'd be ok with those 50-year old antibiotics? If evolution doesn't happen, they should be fine. You shouldn't need the latest ones created primarily because the bacteria, well, EVOLVED a beneficial resistance to them, right, because that doesn't happen, right?
Took me a while, but I found someone arguing the "heart transplant is murder" case.
The argument is that, since the donor is being kept artificially alive to keep the heart beating, the donor IS alive, and therefore removing the heart kills the donor. The state of the donor's brain is irrelevant.
It's nonsensical fundamentalist Catholicism at its worst.

The whole website is FSTDT worthy. In the heart transplat murder case, the claim is that cellular activity is caused by the immortal soul. Which brings up the question, since the heart cells continue to have cullular activity before, during and after transplant, which soul is powering them?
For extra credit, in a case where multiple organs are transplanted into multiple recipients, explain the immortal soul distribution.
P.S. that article was written in 1956, making it look even stupider in the light of current knowledge.
No, evolution had contributed in no way to medicine, but caused murder to be legalised (heart transplant, abortions, euthanasia) .
I take it that you use the original penicillin that was discovered 80 years ago, which bacteria are incredibly resistant to? No? Why not? (heart transplants?? Don't tell me you think they rip the hearts out of unwilling victims to give to recipients...)
Also the number of suicides has risen since this theory was popularised.
Life-span has risen in the same time... guess ToE is a good thing, eh?
Antibiotics were discovered by accident by Alexander Fleming who was a Christian and had nothing to with evolutionary theories.
Oh, you mean that Penicillin thing that has been reworked so many times in the last 80 years because those non-evolving bacteria have gone and evolved resistance to it to the point that it's almost useless now?
"caused murder to be legalised (heart transplant"
Ah, so it went against your God's will that Tony Stark saved himself , by creating that Arc Reactor - placed in his chest - which prevented him from dying by that shrapnel lodged in his chest? Or when he built that compact LHC in his office to create a completely new element to replace the Palladium - the power source of said Reactor - that was gradually poisoning him...? [/"Iron Man"]
Better watch that [i]ticker[/i] of yours, Panny-boy. You do realise that DNA is part and parcel of Evolution , don't you? Gene Therapy. Saving lives. Death's gonna be extremely pissed off! [/"Final Destination"]
Should you suffer a heart attack that damages your heart irreparably: Gene Therapy (Genes. As in DNA). Heart Transplant .
Like I say: Better watch that ticker. [/paradox] [/Schadenfreude ] >:D
"Evolution had contributed in no way to medicine"
Microbiology, bitch.
"but caused murder to be legalised (heart transplant, abortions, euthanasia)"
I literally have no idea what this means. FORCED abortions and euthanasia might easily be linked to "Social Darwinism", but "Social Darwinism" has as much to do with evolution as the Suez Crisis has to do with an electric eel.
According to Wikipedia, "The Yahoos are primitive creatures obsessed with "pretty stones" they find by digging in mud,..." and "...the term "yahoo" has come to mean "a crude, brutish or obscenely coarse person"". Spot on I'd say.
Confused?
