The Whole idea of a little innocent girl in a dress, falling in love with "Pan" (the pagan god of sexual intercourse and rape), speaks volumes as to the intentions of the creators of such godless vile filth! You can bet that every pedophile in the world will want to see this movie. I realize that Pan's Labyrinth is not being put forth as a "Christian" film, as was NARNIA; however, it is more than coincidental in my opinion that BOTH films involve a little innocent girl and Pan (or "Tumnus" in NARNIA, who is unmistakably "Pan"). The common denominator in my opinion is Satan and pedophilia.

Note to these nutters: Creepy music on your website does not make your point more convincing. Also, in the film, Pan and his world is something a girl creates to escape from her awful life - effectively a symptom of mental illness, so hardly a good recruitment for Satan.
Perhaps if you actually understood 1)the actual myths regarding Pan, and 2)the actual premise of the movie, you might come to the conclusion that it's not what you think it is.
That would, of course, require you to actually learn something, rather than making snap judgements and unfounded assumptions.
Wow, someone is mentioning the Devil's Backbone trilogy, I would have guessed that was too obscure for fundies....
Oh, he never saw either films. Never mind.
Well, actually, D Laurier, to play the devil's advocate here, although Pan wasn't the official god of intercourse/rape, he was extremely libidinous and was known to pursue all kinds of forest nymphs (most of whom would have nothing to do with him, of course, because he was an ugly goat-man).
Pan was supposed to be a nature god, and I believe he was supposed to watch over shepherds, hence the goat legs. He probably sported with his fair share of nymphs, as all those old Greek gods did, but that likely had more to do with valuing fertility than rape. Oh, and plenty of children are quite fond of the old Greek myths. I was always very fond of Pegasus as a child, but that didn't have anything to do with sex. It's called an active imagination, and it's quite healthy for kids to have one.
She didn't fall in love with the faun, geez. She was fascinated by him, but didn't trust him.
Also if you watch the movie, and if my memory serves, the faun had no name.
I honestly can't tell, is this site a parody or not? It reminds me so much of Landover Baptist, but doesn't have the right feel of satire. If it is for real, it is deeply disturbing.
Wow, not reading much?
PL was a BRILLIANT movie, if only very violent. I loved it and will recommend it to anyone I ever meet.
Matilde: I don't think there is any dubbed version floating around, the one I saw in theaters was captioned, something my mother was eternally grateful for!
"Either the movie was badly dubbed(I have the original Spanish version)"
I saw it in the theatres in Spanish.
"PL was a BRILLIANT movie, if only very violent."
Yes, but I would like to say that the Spanish Communists, who were portrayed as the 'good guys' in the movie, were actually just as brutal as the fascists in real life.
Umm... did you actually watch the movie?
Oh, wait, forgot whom I was talking to...
I think some of us are confusing Pan with Satyrs.
I was never able to figure out what the physical difference between a Satyr and a Faun are, but I know satyrs are an all-male species (contrasted by the all-female, um, what are they called, myriads) of extremely lustful beings, who follow Dionysos or something.
Admit it poster; you couldn't care less about children. What you really hate is imagination. Fantasy movies, by definition, spur the imagination. Imagination leads to curiosity, questioning, exploring, all the things that will eventually overcome and destroy religious fundamentalism.
Just in case you can´t speak Spanish(I do), the girl neither falls in love with the satyr, nor it´s sure that the satyr exists. It´s a product of her imagination, as a scape to go away from her authoritarian step-father. And it´s a fucking movie, of course.

Not enough fap material in "Pan's Labyrinth" (a superb film by Guillermo Del Toro) and "The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe", eh? There's always the Disney Channel if Guam's pre-pubescent girls aren't doing it for you anymore you vile hypocritical kiddy-diddling nonce.
Confused?
