How it will work i think, is if there are too many seniors and due to the strain of retiring baby boomers, they will send a dozen or so off to a panel. then while at the panel they will judge our usefullness to society and if we aren't "able bodied workers", off to the lethal injection station we go!!! We must do anything we can to stop this evil legilature! Democrats will be into human cloning in a few years too, i fear! They'll create a perfect race and well we will be out of luck if we arent in cahoots with the new order!

My mother believes this. Really and truly, bottom of her heart, absolutely believes this. She says that if "health care passes" (she's not really good with the names of pieces of pending legislature), then she'll never go to a doctor or an emergency room again, because she'll be taken and killed.
I want to know who started this nutball rumour.
I understand that fundies are allergic to things like research and verifying claims, but knowing that they're gullible enough to believe this obvious fairy story is enough to make one weep for humanity.
I wonder what would happen if some mischief-makers started rumours about the proposed health care bill including something outright ridiculous (mandatory chakra readings or something), and see how long it takes the fundies and conspiracy nuts to latch on.

It's true. I live in a developped country that is not the US, therefore this is exactly how it happens here. That's why I barely remember my grandparents, who were all convicted of being old and executed when I was a toddler. You'll never read about Canada's appalling human rights record in the paper though, because we all just accept it as normal and Americans will too when their time comes.

do you think people with pre existing conditions sit around crying about not getting life saving treatment? nah, if they really wanted health insurance they'd make it a priority to get a job with good coverage...plus, if they're in a car accident they can still get treated..i mean, seriously, stop your bitching.
