"Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America," Dean said. "This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination."

Fascinating. Normally you call them terrorists, ragheads, heathens etc. But when some Muslims decide to persecute homosexuals, they are A-OK!
"United we hate teh gehyz!"
Yeah, unlike our nation where people actually have freedom to speak their minds without being killed, where christians don't have to worry about being killed by muslim extremists. Shame on us. We don't believe in tyranny and therefore have no morals.
Personally I think it's high time we kick these people out of office, ship them to Iran as cargo with crosses tatooed on their foreheads, and have them repeat their principles while experiencing muslim "praise" in a torture chamber.
Hey Bradlee, most Muslims live in a bombi nation. Most Muslims own large closets within which they spend a considerable amount of time, even the nomadic tribes got closet-tents. I expect you know more about that than I do Bradlee. No doubt you are an expert closet dweller.
Bradlee's comment is a sad reminder of the mentality of most fundies, and it's rather sad, isn't it?
The worst thing of all about the inter-religious hatred that fundamentalist Christians and Muslims have is thaat there is an upside -- I mean, if they all got on together, they'd work together in a spiritual war against the atheists, deists, agnostics, and anyone else who doesn't conform to their view.
Of course. The Bible and the Quran are collections of fan fiction that were both inspired by a common older collection of fiction which Christians refer to as the Old Testament, which is where two men "lying together" was referred to as an abomination... right along with shrimp, polyester, and crop rotation.
Maybe this is the key to world peace. Hear me out. You see how friendly they are toward each other when they both hate the same people? Well, what if we gave them an imaginary people to hate? I know it sounds crazy but remember, they already believe in imaginary beings.
So, by all means, go on over there and join them for some homo-bashing good times. This is America, land of the free. If you don't like it, too bad.
Hey Bradlee Dean, repeat after me: "there is only one god but Allah, and Muhammed is the seal of the prophets."
Now, go kill fags in peace and love, my new Muslim brother.
For those unfamiliar with Mr. Dean, you should check out DumpBachmann.com. He is the favorite of Michele Bachmann (InsaneR-Mn.). He also gets invited to public schools under the guise of delivering an anti drug message and then, once he has a pulpit, preaches to his captive audience.
"Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America," Dean said.
Hm...consider Iowa state representative Ako Abdul-Samad. He's an American Muslim who not only doesn't call for the death of LGBT people but actually supports full marriage equality. Might want to work on your generalization skills, Brad.
Bradlee Dean wants to be a Muslim? What about Bradlee's mom, dad, brothers or sisters? It's not beyond the pale of possibility that one of them is gay. Would Bradlee pull the crane lever that hoists them off the ground by a rope around their neck? Who knows. In time he might even graduate to Teheran.
So you're finally admitting that both Christian fundamentalists and Islamic fundamentalists are basically the same? Well, it's about damn time. Now, if only you could get around to admitting that Christians and Muslims worship the same god...
The Koran & Muslim faith also condemns homosexuality. Why does this idiot think that hating gays is purely a Christian ideal? I mean sure, according to them their god hates homosexuality, but then so does Allah.
@ storymoron
"If all the gays were killed, who would the "True Christians" be able to persecute?"
And more importantly, if all the gays were killed, who would True Christians get to "carry their luggage?"
FWIW, He's taking back those words:
From Youcanruninternational.com:
"Let me make this perfectly clear -- again. We are opposed to the state, in any country, no matter what its religious tradition, in executing homosexuals. We are against anyone, anywhere, at any time, who executes homosexuals for being homosexual. We would hide them in our homes before we would allow that to happen. But we would preach at them while they were there"
I think I'd choose the sword.
Muslims observe the same Old Testament laws as Orthodox Jews. But American Christians claim they're not beholden to Old Testament law. They cite various NT passages to prove that they no longer have to abide by the Old Testament laws observed by Orthodox Jews, such as avoiding pork. Bradlee wants to cherry-pick the OT laws according to his own prejudices. He doesn't follow the Bible; he come up with his opinions first, then searches for passages in the Bible so he can pretend God agrees with him, while ignoring biblical rules that are inconvenient to him.
Point of order, you moron, those same Muslims are calling for the death of all Americans, or did that little fact slip your mind?
If you only knew how many Muslim men are either gay and won't admit it (even to themselves) or have had numerous enjoyable homosexual experiences and still deny it, you would cover your ass and head for the hills.
This particular point just shows how hypocritically twisted the average devout Muslim (male or female) is. They call for the execution of gays because Muhammad did, and he is their example of the perfect Muslim, "al insan, al kamil", and also because their mullahs and imams demand it in order to show their faith (the same as Christian Pastors and Priests).
And their women are quite agreeable to their husbands being gay. It means they can get their swishy husband out of the house every night so they can cruise for a straight guy...if they get real lucky, a real infidel with a taste for agressively submissive dark-eyed honeys who want a man who cares for the real woman under the burka.
inmate, the 10 commandments are actually not in the bible. They are parto f a much longer law that God gave, and in that law, God talks very explicitly about homoesexuality.
Thou Shalt Not Kill... unless you really want to.
BTW OT bible doesn't talk about homosexuality. Talks about temple prostitution, unless of course you read the KJ and don't bother with the original Hebrew.
African Christians have been observing the WHOLE counsel of God for many centuries now. When God speaks, I take him seriously, buttcrack. That includes EVERYTHING he said in the Bible, whether I agree with it or not.
Funny because Muslim men often have a couple little boys around that they have sex with.. in fact, there's a saying for it. Little boys are not for procreation, they are for recreation. Don't believe me? How about you ask anyone that has served in the US military and served in conjunction with the Afghans and Iraqis.. they can tell you some SERIOUS stories about how the muslims will have sex with young boys, and even offer thousands of dollars for foreign young boys (even if they aren't all that young, but appear to be) to commanders of military forces (young marines and soldiers serving under said commanders).
Moral? Yeah.. I got your "morals" hangin'.
@ Horsefeathers
What makes this quote even more mind-boggling is that it's not homosexuals who are flying planes into buildings.
Surely Christians and gays should unite against radical Muslims who actually, you know, KILL PEOPLE?
Methinks Dean should go live in Saudi Arabia and let the western world revel in its non-bibleness.
(Also nevermind that the muslims have their own book and all abrahamic religions happen to condemn homosexuality. Its because they like YOUR Bible, in english too)
The only place in Africa where there's a centuries-long history of Christianity is Ethiopia, where they've followed Ethiopian Orthodox faith as it approached its modern form since approximately the Fall of Rome.
Lot of doctrinal disagreement with, say, the Baptists there.
Confused?
