There are a whole bunch of studies showing that gays are no more likely to molest children than straights. They are based on determining the actual sexual orientation of the pedophile. Then there's this one single study where some lazy guy, instead of doing real research, just looked at police crime statistics and called everyone who molested a boy "gay". Guess which one the fundie homophobes listen to?
40% of pedophiles have no adult sexual orientation. They're not gay. They're not straight. They're attracted only to children (of either sex). They're called "fixated". Fixated people are not attracted to men or women. So if a person is known to be gay, they are not fixated. Fixated people are not attracted to men. You can't determine the sexual orientation of fixated people by looking at the sex of the victim, because they have no adult sexual orientation. So the one study that said guys who molest boys are gay is bullshit. It's wrong technique. The study is invalid. Anyone who uses it is just a bigot looking for an excuse.

Hmm. So, what about pedophiles who go after little girls? Not all of the priests in the pedophile scandal molested boys, some of them also raped girls. Or, wait a second, what about grown women who go after little boys? Mary Kay Letourneau, anybody?

Agreed no child is gay. Ones sexual preference and attraction is developed during puberty. It's still not a choice and gays still are born gay but sexual preference does not develop that early.
No gays are trying to get away with raping children. Gays tend to like ADULTS of the same gender. Pedophiles and Homosexuals are not the same thing.
