Yes, a finite amount of sins being punished by infinite torture. No chance to repent. No way to show I’ve learned my lesson. No return to Earth to live a better life. No witnesses who will benefit from my pain.
It’s just a big scary revenge fantasy.
When I believed, i was quite literally sad about Hell, not pompous. I could not imagine enjoying Heaven if anyone suffered in Hell.
