[In my view, being gay would not even get into a top 100 sins. Where is the equivalent outrage on this forum at murder, child prostitution, starvation, genocide, war crimes, hypocrisy, corruption? Why are so many Christians so obsessed with convicting gay people of sin, while their own sins remain unaddressed?]
Well, the "obsession" might be due to the fact that murderers, child prostitutes, the starving, those who commit genocide and warcrimes are not attempting to have their bad behavior legitimized by passing equal opportunity laws. As for the hypocritical and corrupt - they're pressing hard for their sins to be made legal and moral.

"murderers, child prostitutes, the starving, those who commit genocide and warcrimes"
Why are the STARVING in there?
Those who commit genocide and warcrimes are not trying to have their bad behavior legitimized?
Oh, please. Learn some history, read the newspapers, watch the news at least!
"Yeah, yeah, mass genocide, hungry children, horrible war crimes, child prostitution, whatever. These guys want to get married, and I'll be damned if I'm not gonna stop that!
1) Who said anything about the bad behavior of "the starving"? I think the person BarB is replying to meant, where is the outrage at the fact that people are starving and no one seems to give a damn?
2) Those other crimes you point out hurt other people and infringe on their rights. Homosexuality does not.
3) Why would the severity of a sin be at all related to the degree of acceptance it has among the general populace? Are you suggesting God's relative weighting of various sins can be affected by what *we* think?
4) There is nothing illegal about hypocrisy. Immoral, perhaps (it's certainly nothing that would earn my respect), but not illegal.
LMAO at "the starving" being lumped in with murderers and such. I bet their sin is gluttony. Because you KNOW they want to eat, a lot.
Also, "child prostitutes" being equated with murderers (and even worse, the malnourished)? As though child prostitutes are just wanton little sluts instead of victims? WTF?
Anyway, this guy just clearly copied the previous posters' "murder, child prostitution, starvation, genocide, war crimes, hypocrisy, corruption" list, and transformed it into "people who do this" rather than "moral outrages." With hilarious results. Go context!

Sad. I think part of me just died a little.
The "bad behavior" of the homosexuals affects no-one but themselves. Apart from there being two men or two women in the bed, they do just the same thing as thousands upon thousands of straight people do in their beds. It's not the behavior you are on about, it's the participants.
Are you talking about yourselves, with the "hypocritical and corrupt".
those who commit genocide and warcrimes are not attempting to have their bad behavior legitimized by passing equal opportunity laws.
Being gay isn't 'bad behavior', you nitwit. Murdering, raping children, genocide, THOSE are despicable and 'bad' behavior.

Indeed. The likes of:
Jim Bakker (Embezzler of PTL funds)
Jimmy Swaggart (Adulterer)
Ted Faggard (Condemning homosexuality, then committing the same acts. Thus a hypocrite)
Kent Hovind (Not Rendering unto Caesar)
Tony Alamo (Serial statutory rapist)
David J. Stewart (Paedophile)
Timothy McVeigh (Terrorist)
Scott Roeder (Murderer)
George W. Bush (War Criminal)
All right-wing Fundamentalist Christians. So yes, you lot certainly have plenty to be 'obsessed' about.
I think the rest of you fundies should start putting your own houses in order, before you start condemning the actions of others. Especially those with a different lifestyle that is completely legal.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
