When I google “13-year-old”, I get a lot of children's pictures, some with braces, happy open children's faces. A few pictures show more mature girls, who have started to pose for the photo, more closed and withdrawn faces. If you really find the top pictures of typical 13-year-olds more attractive than the bottom one, of a more adult-looking girl, then you're a hebephile.

When humans evolved, our life spans were much shorter than today, and we probably formed families earlier. Probably not as early as 13, though, as the human frame can't handle babies that young; too many girls would have died in childbirth for our species to prosper.

First off, if you have evidence you should at least cite the souce at minimum.
Secondly, even if, and that's a big IF, it were true that wouldn't make sex or relationships with them any less wrong. Not to mention there's more to a relationship then attraction, such as personality and emotional maturity. At 14, few are ready for relationships period, much less one with an adult. Heck, when I was at college some of the girls I was there with were still too immature for a proper relationship imho despite being legally considered adults. Finding a certain look attractive and fantasizing about it is fine and still legal, but NEVER confuse fantasy with reality, and the reality is girls under 18 are almost never ready for that relationship and since we don't have a "ready-ness meter" to prevent mistakes about an individual's maturity, the law reflects that as it rightfully should, and you need to respect that.

Actually they don't use minors at all. They pose as minors on the Internet, but the "girls" who's photos they use, and who they have answer the door when the pedos show up are adults who are able to pass themselves of as young teenagers.

@Skidie: In Japan, the federal age of consent is 13, but provincial laws hold more weight than federal, and most of the provinces have their ages of consent in the 16-18 range.

Hence why I always recommend people do detailed research on a series prior to viewing it. Not every series is going to be suitable for everyone.
