“Life in America changed today to life in Mystery Babylon,” Wiles lamented, arguing that the DOMA ruling is part of a larger “war on the laws of God and the Christian heritage of the United States of America” that is leading America into a “moral sinkhole.”

"Why do I have this gnawing feeling in my gut that the real reason to militarize the border is not to keep the Mexicans out but to keep the Americans in? It is looking increasingly obvious that the national security apparatus is systematically locking down the country. At some point Americans desiring to flee the growing tyranny in the USA will not be allowed to leave, and we’ll have to float on rafts to Cuba to get away from El Presidente Obama’s Communist revolution."

Obama seriously can not win. You bitch about illegals so he clamps down a little bit harder on the borders. Now you're bitching that he's restricting Americans by doing the exact thing you demanded he do.
He could jump through flaming hoops to please you and you will still never be happy.
Fuck you and your sense of entitlement.

So, running from a (relatively) free country to escape a perceived Communist...by going to a nation that *is* Communist.
Seems legit. NOT
So, when more people gain the freedom to marry their consenting adult significant other, you perceive a growing tyranny? Is it Opposite Day again?
Are you sure that you're American? I know that your Founding Fathers worked VERY hard to keep religion out of the constitution, as they had seen, first- or second-hand in Europe, what havoc religion can wreck in government. I'm a Swede; I have never even been to North America. Shouldn't you know more about your history than I do?
Any time you want to head down to Mexico, I don't think the State Department will have any problem with it, Ricky boy.
Also, if you're floating on a raft away from El Presidente's Communist regime, Cuba might not be the best choice. Just sayin'.
OMFG, it's all you conservatives who keep calling for the government to "secure the borders" because they're afraid of brown people coming in and taking jobs that nobody wants. Nice that they're now able to turn that around into a conspiracy theory making Obama out to be an evil dictator.
It's people like Rick Wiles who make me wish there actually was a war on Christianity in this country.

Since Cuba is already communist, wouldn't that be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire?
And how is saying that same-sex couples married under state laws are eligible for Federal benefits "growing tyranny"?
"Why do I have this gnawing feeling in my gut that the real reason to militarize the border is not to keep the Mexicans out but to keep the Americans in?
So that would be why there's been so much talk about building a wall on the border with Canada.
we’ll have to float on rafts to Cuba
The sooner you go the better. Then you might find out what communism and persecution are really about.

That's a pretty accurate assessment of how many of us feel, being stuck here under the tyranny of our health care system, which for millions of us is no health care at all (even when the new laws take effect). I for one would be happy and grateful for a raft to almost anywhere else if I could get some fucking health care there.

As a fan of a certain TV series by one J. Michael Straczynski, I'd consider that to be the ultimate compliment levelled towards a country that is progressing socio-politically, and not just technologically.
"El Presidente Obama’s Communist revolution"
Speaking as a left -wing Atheist, all I can say is stop it, you're turning me on. >:D
@KittyKaboom
You mark my words, Obama could come out tomorrow, completely repeal Obamacare, and the Repubs would be up in arms over him not caring about the wellbeing of the public.
"Why do I have this gnawing feeling in my gut that the real reason to militarize the border is not to keep the Mexicans out but to keep the Americans in?"
I don't know, but I recommend trying Prilosec.
> war on ... the Christian heritage of the United States of America
Go back to school. You know nothing of history.
> Why do I have this gnawing feeling in my gut that the real reason to militarize the border is not to keep the Mexicans out but to keep the Americans in?
I don't know, but if that's the case, maybe you should stop trying to militarize the border already.
> At some point Americans desiring to flee the growing tyranny in the USA will not be allowed to leave, and we’ll have to float on rafts to Cuba to get away from El Presidente Obama’s Communist revolution.
FAIL
If you use a rowboat instead of a raft you'll have an easier time getting by customs.
@ Swede: I wish I could use a European language as well as you use English. Hell, I wish I could use English as well as you use English.
Yeah, makes sense. Except that your country isn't putting up fences to oh, any other country it has borders with, mainly Canada.
@Old Viking: English is a European language.
You want to go to Cuba to escape communism? Jesus fucking wept, some of you people are so stupid it defies all belief.
Not that the USA is in the slightest bit communist to start off with, but that is not even the point. You lot would move from America to Canada to escape the cold, or from Colorado to Nepal to escape the altitude.
Confused?
