Since I never believed in God even before I knew the concept the point is very mote.
Instead, here's the deal. Is Evolution obvious because almost everyone know things change over time or because religion is so moronic in any fucking rational at all?
Evolution is a concept that was developed by people who kept their eyes open and looked at evidence. It's exactly as "god-free" as modern dentistry, penicillin, the internal combustion engine, and the Internet, none of which required any biblical knowledge. Why don't you go away and complain about those things for a while?

OK...it's still only a small percentage of the world's population that are atheists/agnostics. According to some estimates quoted on Wikipedia , it's at most 750 million people. So, what's that, 10% of the world's population at most? So, if all those people believe in evolution (I'm sure it's most, but not all, but let's just say it's all of them for now), that means even if say, only a third of the rest of the world believes in it....most people who accept evolution are THEISTS.
So, no, it's not.
Evolution is "so obvious" because it is found in nature.
There are many different concepts of many different gods and goddesses.
