And the evidence for a genetic background for homosexuality are slim at best. Which doesn't mean it's not a trait you are born with.
There are apx 20,00025,000 genes in the human genome. If you want to know which ones of these contains the homosexuality gene, the stop shoving your damn babbles down are throats while we are trying to work, you bloody wanker.

#885522: Actually, libertarianism at its pure best is a mixture of economic conservativism and social liberalism. It's basically very pro-limited government, i.e. "government off our affairs". I'm a libertarian and I'm irked by people confusing us with fascists, who are certifiably right-wing but rely on a big government possibly even more than bleeding heart types who are usually associated with "big government". We're neither left nor right-wing; we think "wing"s are for silly idealists. It also irks me to think of people who proclaim themselves libertarians who do not fully ascribe to the whole of libertarian thought, who mess it up for the rest of us. I'm proud to be considered "watered down liberalism" because, you know what, in a way we are.

I can only speak for male homosexuality, because it is the only subject that I have actual facts about. Unlike you fundie assholes I don't just make shit up to support my case.
The fact of the matter is that as far as men are concerned there is a genetic component to homosexuality. We even know where the gene sequence is, it is a 5 nucleotide stretch near the end of the X chromosome. It is a fact that men are statistically more likely to be gay if they have gay brothers or if they have gay uncles or cousins or their mothers side. This is a fact, look up the research or conduct it yourself.
It is found that a high percentage of gay men have the 5 nucleotid sequence but not all gay men have it and there are also straight men that do. It is kind of like smoking. If you smoke you increase the chances of getting lung cancer but you are not guaranteeing it. And if you don't smoke you can still get lung cancer.
Genetics has a probablistic component to it that can be affected by other genes or environmental factors.
