[On the Obama administration supporting net neutrality]
The internet allows us a window into world affairs that this administration has not attended to. Our government is getting uncomfortable with the people knowing as much about world affairs as they do, we expect action....controlling the internet makes us as ignorant as N. Korean's. Congress will do nothing. It's time for action on the part of the people. There are more of us than them however without internet we would be harder to organize..........yeah. Think on it for awhile.

You realize that net neutrality has, in fact, stopped your internet from being controlled. Not by the government but by ISPs who, go figure, are jerks.
...Forgive me if I'm wrong (I'm not american), but isn't that exactly what net neutrality is? The government and the ISPs cannot control the internet that way?
So what are you even complaining about?
@ Nemo
They don't actually care what it is. It's just a knee jerk reaction for them to throw a temper tantrum over anything that opposes big business. Because it's cool for corporations to limit our freedoms in the name of pure greed, but god forbid the government pass some light gun control laws in the name of civilian safety.
You dingbat, net neutrality ALLOWS you to have as fast an access as everyone else. The next time you decide to rant, please figure out what it is that you are ranting about, and you won't look like such a damn fool.
You don't actually know what "net neutrality" is, do you?
Congress will do nothing. It's time for action on the part of the people
It was action on the part of the people that made Congress act.
You know what's fucking ridiculous? That this guy has to twist Obama's support of net neutrality into something fascist and authoritarian just to support the narrative of Obama being fascist and authoritarian. This guy is so committed to his hatred of Obama that he can't even for one second say even something like "oh, yeah, I guess Obama did this one non-authoritarian thing, but that doesn't forgive all the other stuff he did."
Like, acknowledging that the Obama administration did one not-terrible thing does not mean he has to give up his hatred of Obama if he doesn't want to, but the sort of logical knots one has to tie oneself in just to make support for net neutrality a pro-internet-control manuever are just totally asinine.
Net neutrality is corporations (and government) NOT controlling the Internet, dumbass! I know it feels unsafe for you when your government is not policing what you're doing, but this is what free speech feels like, dearie.
Controlling the NEWS, like Faux News, makes you as ignorant as N. Koreans, silly.
"Think on it awhile."
OK. I did. And after thinking* on it I've concluded that you're a fucking idiot.
* You might try doing that instead of believing everything you read on batshit crazy conservative sites on the fucking internet.
No matter how often they're told the fight is to KEEP the internet free of Government, Corporate control, they continue to believe it'll be freer if the Republican businesses look after it.
It's almost like there's propagandist right-wing news agencies feeding them lies every day. But they're too smart for that. Right?
Fucking Teatards.
Neutrality: the quality or state of not supporting either side in an argument, fight, war, etc. : the quality or state of being neutral
Example: Thanks to net neutrality, I was able to access the information on the definition of neutrality.
"The internet allows us a window into world affairs that this administration has not attended to."
It also allows you to live in a fictional world, like WOW or One News Now.
OK, thought about it. Liberals are better for you than you are. They make agencies and laws to protect you from contaminated food, water, and air, and you call it fascism and try to abolish them. Liberals get the CDC funded, set up programs for public health and vaccination, and get you (some) health insurance, and you think they are conspiring to control your mind or something.
You have an vastly greater life expectancy in a freer, more tranquil society precisely because you have not succeeded in your attempts to abolish Liberal government programs.
You are a petulant child who doesn't want to take his medicine.
Confused?
