Here is a cool fact that I heard. In a lab somewhere, there are scientists that are shooting atoms at each other, seeing what smaller particles make up the atom. They have found that every atom is made up of Nuetrons, Protons and Electrons.
Each of these are made up of a smaller particle (man, I forget what they are called). After that, the only thing they found was light, and we know that light is made up of sound. Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of.
God spoke, and there was light, and then everything else. Sound is the power of creation.

Oh stupid me, so all that radiation travelling through countless light-years of vacuum was sound all along! Damn you physicists and all your damn lies!
I suggest CWLite should be lifted up to space without a helmet or spacesuit and let him/her be the first to hear "God's Voice". [/sarcasm]
Oh, and study what the hell is a wave and which medium it may need (or not) to travel before you start spreading the stupid around.

21st Century to dumbass: we've know about the structure of the atom for ages.

Quarks, neutrinos, and photons, just to name a few.
After that, the only thing they found was light,
Yes, photons are subatomic particles. Despite this guys lack of chemistry know-how, he seems rather intellegent.
and we know that light is made up of sound.
And I spoke too soon. Light is made up of particles called photons.
Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of
Sound isn't made up of anything, it's a disturbance of mechanical energy that travels in waves through a medium.
God spoke, and there was light, and then everything else. Sound is the power of creation.
That's it, I've lost all respect for you.

Okay, your research is a little antiquated, but so far correct (apart from misspelling "neutron," but so far you're doing pretty well for an 8-year-old.) Cool fact, indeed!
"Each of these are made up of a smaller particle (man, I forget what they are called)."
Yes! So far, so good. And don't worry about not knowing those; that was just an extra credit question anyway. You can always look them up later.
"After that, the only thing they found was light...."
Huh? Light? Do you mean to say that these subatomic particles were made up of LIGHT? No, that's not quite right.
"...and we know that light is made up of sound."
WHAT?!? Do you have any idea how many physical laws disprove that asinine assertion? Plenty! You now forfeit the points you made earlier.
"Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of."
Well, then, allow me to be the first to "enlighten" you: Sound is nothing more than waves of vibration propagated in a material medium; some might claim that it has to be audible to human ears to qualify as "sound," rather than just vibration, but the effect is exactly the same -- only the magnitude is different. And sound has not the slightest thing to do with light.
"God spoke, and there was light, and then everything else. Sound is the power of creation."
Oh, good grief. You spent science class with your Bible cupped inside your science textbook, didn't you? You'd have done better to have hidden a comic book there instead.

"In a lab somewhere, there are scientists that are shooting atoms at each other"
I have an image of two scientist, late at night in the lab, shooting their AtomGuns at each other.
I'll tell you where he got this crazy idea that light is made up of sound. Ray Comfort.
http://www.fstdt.com/weekly/article.php?id_article=187
Read down to the bottom. It's one of the many science "facts" Ray claims is found in the Bible.
Ray Comfort, I curse you once again for infecting and rotting a fellow human's brain.
Bwahahahahahahaha! Dear fucking god. If you are there, then please help this dunderhead out of his misery.
*waits but nothing happens
Okay, well god probably wont help me so I'll just read my favourite part again.
After that, the only thing they found was light, and we know that light is made up of sound. Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of.
Let me help you out a bit there, Lightweight. "Sound" is composed of the laughter of thousands of people as they see (with light) cold hard evidence of your impoverished education and utter lack of intelligence.
Please stop listening (sound) to Ray Comfort (himself a lightweight) and Kirk Cameron (a star, but not at all bright, nor the kind that emits light, but does emit a lot of noisy sound). Neither one of them is a scientist, and combined they know less about science than the average Wal-Mart greeter.
Protons, neutrons, and electrons have been known for a long time. Quarks have been theorized for a very long time, and have been proved. There's been no conclusive proof of something smaller, but odds are, quarks are made up of something even smaller.
And light is not made up of sound. Whoever told you that was lying or stupid.
Perhaps he is right, sound is caused by energy, and quarks are measured in Electronvolts, therefore quarks are energy so in effect matter and sound could be the same, but not in the way he is thinking.
Dirian, No. He is not right. Just because sound is caused by energy doesn't mean it is energy, or even light. Light and sound have fundamental differenves in the kind of "vibration" that they are. Light is a high frequency electromagnetic vibration, which doesn't require a medium, while sound is a vibration of any kind of medium that manages to get the frequency to your ear.
And if sound is the same as light because sound is caused by energy, and you meassure quarks in electrovolts, does this mean my clothes are made of light instead of cotton/polyester?
"...and we know that light is made up of sound."
Sound can't pass through a vacuum. So how is it sunlight in streaming through my window at this very moment? It appears your assertion is wrong.
"Nobody yet can say (I have yet to hear) what sound is made up of."
Of course we know what sound is. We've known for a long time. I do, however, have no doubt that you "have yet to hear" of the news. It must be rather difficult to hear with your head shoved firmly up your rear.
This makes me want to puke.
For god's sake, give him some award. First thing I thought of was "Bizarre Creationist Assertion" -- it's not like the other ones with that award, true, but what else do you call "and we know that light is made up of sound".
"God spoke, and there was light, and then everything else. Sound is the power of creation."
God would've spoken into hard vacuum, which would've meant no sound whatsoever, hence creating nothing.
If you're going to discuss scientific topics, get your nose out of the Bible. It makes a horrible scientific reference.
NotMe:
Perhaps you mistake me, but what I mean is that if sound is a vibrating mass of energy and not a wave then it is composed of matter which equals energy (E=mc^2) and light is composed of electromagnetic radiation which is also energy. What I meant by my post is that he could be right just not the way he thinks.
And yes your shirt is composed of matter and do i have to state Einstein here?
Jesus H. Christos, where did this guy get his degree in science? Immafuck U?
The funny thing is that if light were indeed made up of sound, then the numerous times we've broken the sound barrier would equate to us breaking the speed of light.
Or that the thunder should become before the lightning strike.
Or, you know, every other fundamental law of the speed of light turned on its ass
I haven't seen CWLite before, but I think we will be seeing more of him at fstdt. He seems to have that special gift shared by AV1611VET, JohnR7, dad, and supersport. You have big shoes to fill CWLite, but I am sure you can handle it.
ROFL ROFL ROFL. Here is an interesting fact - There is no way that sound could possibly keep up with light, let alone comprise it. ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL ROFL. Sound, my misinformed friend, is purely vibrations in the air or...commonly referred to as sound waves. Light is electromagnetic radiation. Notice how you see the lightning before you hear the thunder? Well, I suppose your ignorance could be excused if you were deaf or blind.
You should alter your quote slightly...to "We (of the deaf and blind association) BELIEVE that light is made up of sound...but then again we haven't been properly educated."
Hahahahahahahaha! No, hahah, really...
Hahahahaha!
I'm not done yet.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
If sound is the power of creation, realize that silence is golden and shut up.
Ok, ok. So, you let out a well behaved sound, from a good family, out on the cold (-24¤C). It was so cold that he started to run home and run fast. It ran so fast, that the air friction set him on fire and turned him/her to light. Therefore, great god Evol Uti, creator of (heavy) metal, exists.
Atoms are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons.
Protons and neutrons are made up of quarks (2 up and a down in a proton and 2 down and an up in a neutron)
Electrons and quarks are elementary particles and cannot be divided.
What they are in turn made out of is purely theoretical and we don't yet know if they even can be broken up.
The part I don;t get is how you could think light is made of sound. Light travels about 1 000 000 times faster than sound, so how could one possibly be made of the other?
"Sound" is compression waves through matter.
"Light" is electromagnetic radiation propagating through an empty void.
Even though both have a wavelength, frequency and amplitude, they are most assuredly not the same. Light is not made of sound.
Confused?
