And how do you measure race, then? My wife’s family has been in the US for a few generations. They’ve been mixed a tiny bit with whites. By the one drop rule she’s black, but she’s fairly light-skinned.
And our kids are VERY light-skinned. Again, by the one-drop rule they’re black, but my son had to carry a picture of himself with his mom to prove to interested parties that he qualified as black. But, anyway, who should he marry?
How would you know?
