Please give an example of when nothing but energy is converted into mass, other than the Big Bang. Thank you. :)
[Particle accelerators can do it.]
Sorry, but there was no particle accelerator at the beginning of the universe. ;) So it's impossible for energy to be converted into mass because energy doesn't contain mass. But mass does contain energy so mass can be converted into energy. But energy cannot be converted into mass unless acted upon by mass. It therefore cannot create mass. So the converse of Einstein's theory is untrue. Sorry. ;)

No man-made particle accelerators.

Apparently you don't understand the meaning of the word "converted."

Some people are just so wrong one can't help them.
Fucking fundies always do that shit....
Fundy: Please show me evidence of A and B
Normal guy: Ok, here you go (referenced materials)
Fundy: Wait, that does not count. Now I want evidence for C and D
Normal guy: Fuck off.
There were no man made particle accelerators at the start of the universe true, but the sudden expansion of the universe from a point so small it has no dimmensions would act as a particle accelerator, thus converting energy into mass. In conclusion, you fail at science.
At the lowest level, at least in our current level of understanding, everything we call "energy" is carried by some particle or another. Conversely, every particle can be viewed as a bundle of energy. So the distinction between energy and mass becomes somewhat vague.
Most of the mass of the universe is contained in the "strong force", which is the attractive force that binds quarks together into protons and neutrons. Whether the "gluons" that carry the force are particles or a form of energy is a matter of symantics, just as a quantum of light is either a form of energy or a particle (photon), depending on how you choose to look at it.
Just as a sidebar. On a quantum level, a spring will increase in mass as its potential energy is increased (stetched or squeezed.)
Yea, from what I understand, the same thing happens when you go up to the top floor in a building.
Uh ... black holes have been theorized to do that all the time. Particle and antiparticle pairs flicker into existence right on the Schwarzschild radius. Sometimes one of these falls on the outside of the SR while the other is inside it. This is the cause of Hawking Radiation.
Admittedly, the existence of Hawking Radiation is somewhat controversial, but it explains various properties of black holes very neatly.

Translation: give me an example other than X. [example is given] Sorry, but this is not X. ;)
I never FULLY understood this branch of science, but I thought energy couldn't exist without matter?
But what do I know. This isn't my kind of thing, anyhow, so she didn't convince me.
Also, I hate it when debaters do that wink thing. ;) It just reeks of "I'm just so right, cute and cool at the same time so I'm going to be a big asshole and wink at you every time I post so that I can look like I'm having fun being sooooooo much righter than you!"
Stop winking, bitch.
Somehow, I think that Carico's theory of relativity is very, very different from Einstein's. First of all, there are a lot more babies with Kleinfelter's.
Carico makes it real simple -- she gives you the fish, the barrel, and the gun. Nice big juicy stripers too, not some cheesy little herring.
And what is it with Einstein and unusually ignorant righties anyway?
Great work Carico.
Now that you've scrapped all of Einstein's work, and no doubt you have already disproven evolution, where will you go next?
I agree with Ed. Fundie of the year might be a close one.
More then particle accelerators can convert energy into mass. You asked for an alternative object to the Big Bang that can convert energy into mass. Therefore, you acknowledge that the Big Bang can convert energy into mass. For that, you must acknowledge the Big Bang. Therefore, God did not create the universe, and evolution happened.
That's your logic, anyway.
*sigh* the Universe does NOT work that way!
you fail.
besides, i'm not even sure what you are trying to argue here.
*points to the door* go play with the other little ones as us grown ups are busy not being delusional.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
