I am particularly upset about what happened this past Friday. I am in a summer school course, and it is grade 12 history. We were tasked with a group project on iconic historical figures, and to my dismay, my group chose Adolf Hitler.

It was not to my dismay because I dislike Hitler - I actually believe he was a visionary who had forseen the inevitable war of races. It was that I don't like confrontation much, and I understand that these beliefs upset some people. Regardless of this, I defend my beliefs.

In this case, I feel as thought my free speech was silenced, and my rights violated. Here's what happened:

So, as we met after class to begin our work at the library, my group began a discussion about the holocaust right off the bat. I mentioned that I don't really believe it happened for various reasons, and they were astonished. They began prying more for my beliefs, and I ended up admitting that I didn't think Hitler was a bad guy, and then the ONE black guy in our group who happened to also be the only guy in our class who was black asked me if I disliked the Jews. I answered honestly, and told him I didn't like or dislike them, but felt my race to be superior. He then called me a racist and said I probably hate blacks too. I answered him honestly, and told him that I think blacks are ruining the country and are uncultured and vulgar, and he just got really mad and stormed out of the library. About an hour later, our teacher shows up in person, and I began to panic. I was told to accompany her to the school. She called the principle of the school, and the situation was explained via conference call, and I was expelled. I just don't know what to think about all this.
