For those of you wondering, this is the full post (it should help explain why the aptly-named Oni got his post put here)...
"[[Would you tolerate slavery, religion, genocide etc.? Would you do nothing? If so, then I can understand why you're a conservative. You have also provided no evidence to show that conservatism or "traditional values" were EVER right throughout history. Hell, you haven't even defined what traditional means for you.
BTW, I'm a guy.]]
Your religion of progress makes you scream words like 'slavery, bigotry, mysognie, hate, racism etc. etc.' at everything you see. That's what, to me, constitutes the liberal crusader (and I've run in to quite a few).
It's not about whether or not you tolerate injustice. Anyone who perceives something as injust won't tolerate it. It's rather about what you define as injust.
Would I tolerate slavery? Do I tolerate the people of Europe being a slave to the USA?
Would I tolerate religion? Do I tolerate the ones who have progress as their religion, wanting to either destroy or seriously deform all spiritual sides of humanity?
Would I tolerate genocide? This argument goes both ways. Pretty much every genocide case has two sides.
If I were to say I don't give a rat's ass about democracy because the great majority of people won't choose wisely anyway, you'd call me intolerant. I would call it sheer logic, people are not equal and there is no such thing as 'acquired rights' at birth. So I'm quite intolerant toward those who want more than belongs to them. And I guess you are too, but from a different perspective.
Also, those things on conservatism and tradition, you didn't ask me to define them. I have defended the argument on why tradition has been proven right throughout the ages, namely by pointing out the Roman empire's fall.
But I degress, if you have any questions on the matter, just ask in the 'Ask a conservative' thread (although an 'Ask a traditionalist' thread would fit better but let's not get that discussion started)."
