Seems they have no problem with their 'liberal style playoffs', as long as the returns on their investments keep a-rolling in; apparently unaffected by your claims of 'television ratings decline'. The NFL is in very rude health. Unlike, say, WCW, which lost the ratings war against the WWE; and even they - whilst far richer than the World Wildlife Fund - lost their legal battle as to who had the rights to use 'WWF', and were assimilated by the latter. Who can possibly compete against the NFL? Even your 'God' has competition: Hinduism's Shiva, the Sikh deity, Japan's Amaterasu (and Buddha; along with most of the Far East), $cientology's LRH, JR 'Bob' Dobbs, Cthulhu, the Invisible Pink Unicorn/Lauren Faust (Ponies and Blessings Upon Her), His Noodliness the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Haruhi Suzumiya. And of course, not forgetting Allah - and it's not looking too good for your precious 'God', re. the latter, neither.

Like I say, the NFL's shareholders have no problem with such, even if 'twere the case as you 'claim'. Seems their bank managers/investment advisors et al are extremely happy with such a corporate policy by one of the biggest sporting organisations on the planet. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it', and all that jazz...! >:D
