Today, the secularist says, "If quantum physics wasn't right, then technology wouldn't be here for you to email the question of it."
The truth is, progress gets made despite man's arrogant notions of his own perfection in thought.
"Strong" and "Weak" forces in atoms have never existed. They were phatoms of the false concept of Niels Bohr's atomic model. But rather than state the error, Science has a practice of hiding its errors by renaming and sidestepping with "advanced theories" which are really just coverups for old errors.
The second LAW of thermodynamics has never been true and certainly not a LAW.
Quantum physics is merely the dance required to keep interest in a problem already solved long ago, but wants for more attention and funding.

No, that's solid state physics that makes computers possible, not quantum physics.
Strong and weak nuclear forces are exactly what make atoms stay atoms, you dolt. Neils Bohr's model was a first attempt at descrbing an atom, it was flawed and it also begged the question about how atoms stayed together in the first place (hence the nuclear forces).
I don't know why you think the second law of thermodynamics has never been true. I'll tell you what though... if you can make a refrigerator that produces less heat than it removes, or can make a perpetual motion machine, or make time run backward, then you can make this statement.
And what problem, exactly, was solved long ago?
Yeah,. because we found out everything worth knowing 2000 years ago and all new "knowledge" is just old knowledge in a new gift wrap.
Want proof? Just look at all the 747s flying 1500 years ago, or the computers they compiled the bible on.
As far as I know, the model of the atom from good old Bohr has nothing to do with the core of the atom. The weak interaction won't have any effect over distances greater the radius of a atomic nucleus, and it's similar with the strong interaction. Bohrs model deals with the electron and it's hang on to the nucleus.
And what about the second law of TD? I thought fundies are particulary fond of it?! Now I am confused.

You know nothing about the way science and scientists work, do you? Go on, for once in your fundie life exercise some real honesty and admit you know bugger all about the subject.
Alright, this one genuinely pisses me off. Quantum physics CAN ONLY BE UNDERSTOOD MATHEMATICALLY (sorry for shouting). Whenever you hear a physicist talking about quantum phenomena in everyday english, they're speaking metaphorically.
Unless you have some MATH to back up this bullshit (which, of course, you don't, because you couldn't tell the difference between a soliton wave matrice and a grocery receipt with a gun to your head, now could ya?), YOU HAVE NOTHING COHERENT TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT (sorry again for shouting).
"The truth is, progress gets made despite man's arrogant notions of his own perfection in thought."
IOW, we ignore the fundies, do science and the result is computers used by angry fundies to denounce science.
Arrogant, ignorant, and likely Protestant -- a combination that never fails to entertain.

Yes, how dare those evil scientists correct their mistakes and move on! Those bastards will burn in hell for advancing scientific research and knowledge!
The second law of thermodynamics can be violated at times, but it's hugely rare that it occurs in any significant amount of matter, and it's hugely inconsequential because it'll go right back to maximum entropy pretty shortly thereafter.
This guy claims to have seen an irrefutable proof of the supernatural in only 3 or 4 lines. He says he saw it on some other board, and he gave a detailed account of the sequence of events (from his point of view, of course) - but he didn't seem able to remember the "proof" itself.
I have been pressing him to provide it, and it he ever does I'm sure it'll find its place here on FSTDT.

"
there are no known violations of the second law of thermodynamics. Ordinarily the second law is stated for isolated systems, but the second law applies equally well to open systems.
There is somehow associated with the field of far-from-equilibrium thermodynamics the notion that the second law of thermodynamics fails for such systems. It is important to make sure that this error does not perpetuate itself."

Creationists tripping over each other?

Been reading your Chick tracts , eh?
One of the main reasons I love this website, beyond the sheer entertainment value, are the plethora of clear, concise explanations and descriptions of scientfic laws, theories and terms.
Even though the people who made the initial remarks will more than likely never read the replies given here, I am ever grateful that the scientifically inclined continue to post corrections to bad logic.
Every day I learn something new.
Thank you, all.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
