In fact, a lot of reputable creation scientists (YEC and OEC alike) will admit when they've made a mistake, unlike anti-theistic scientists...

YEC and OEC try as hard they can to find facts that support a pre-establish truth.
This is not how the scientific method works.
Therefore, there are no YEC or OEC scientits.
creationism = unfalsifiable, you'll always be stuck with goddidits and miracles.
therefore, it can't be taken seriously as a scientific claim.
I think you mean they have been told of their mistakes and continue to use them. In fact you've learned to project your heroes failings onto others as they've taught you.
Like Hovind, who is considered a scientist by Fundies for some reason, I think he owns a labcoat. There's a reason Hovind, Ham, Comfort and their ilk use 40 year old strawmen arguments over and over, it's because it's the best they can come up with, dismal as it is it's all they have. So when arguments are squashed in one forum they just keep using them because honest discource has never been their goal.
Their audiences are gullible, they're not converting anyone with their garbage but they are reinforcing and unionizing their base making it appear they have validity based on numbers. They, all mentioned, also foster fear and distrust of Academia and the scientific community and hold the Bible, religious dogma and your immortal soul as reason to believe them over secular science. They're priests, all.
Creationist organizations require signing a statement of faith, promising that their research will not conflict with the host site’s interpretation of the Bible. Usually, meaning taking Genesis literally.
So, they will NOT publish the facts, just a selected, curated, spin-worthy portion of the facts.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
