These Xtian scumbugs should not be beaten but killed. Since Jesus died for them is ok for these Xtian scums to die for the sin of their non existent Evil God.

Well I agree with the last five words, the rest is just stupidity.
I actually agree with the first phrase up until the dependent clause. "should not be beaten" is probably a good idea.
Could this be an inverse Poe? Or just an angry, militantly anti-Christian teenager?
In any case, it is dumb, cruel, and really serves to undermine the atheist community, while feeding into the bias against us held by moderates, and, worst of all, Christian fundies! Pipe down, oh pompous rebel. Hold your tongue until either your tempers cool, or you can actually express your sentiments with clarity and reason, rather than hatred.
(P.S. I cannot how stress how happy I am to see a comment that deviates from the massive influx of homophobic statements that have arisen online as of late. It warms my heart, really...)
Romano, yeah, hi, quick question... How can something that does not exist either sin or be evil? I mean, yeah, the character in the bible's pretty despotic, but, still, he does not exist, its like saying Harry Potter readers who like Voldemort should be killed because he's evi.
No one should die for a fictional character, you should not kill anyone for a fictional character, you retard.
Romano made a hateful, asinine, statement. Personally, I only wish death on child abusers, rape apologists, cold blooded murderers, and those who start wars. However, I do feel a certain sympathy for the Hindus he was talking about. I really despise missionaries who inflict themselves on unbelievers and Believers of other Faiths.
Secular fundie of the year award?
Edit: Checking the context of the post, it looks like he's a Hindu. I might be wrong, but that's what it looks like.
Yeah umm.... Romano.... We really try to come off as the sane side of the debate. You're not helping.
Although it is nice to see an atheist fundie, I know they exist, but they don't hit the boards very often.
So, out of curiosity, is this a troll, an atheistic fundie or a fundie of a non Christian faith?
EDIT: You know, it occurs to me that if people took many of the comments on this site and submitted them, a number would look just like this. While I understand that (hopefully) none are seriously meant, I do wonder what sort of impression we're giving off?
I'm guessing that Romano isn't an atheist. The "Xtian scumbags" he refers to were "sharing the Word" where they weren't welcome and the OP implies that they were asked to leave before being assaulted.
As I said in my previous post, it's not cool to encourage murder, but, I have been tempted to deck a few fundies.
Fanatic-Templar: I agree, I've seen a few comments on here that were as intolerant as many of the fundies are. Thankfully, the majority of us seem to be reasonable... I suppose there is always bound to be a few bad apples in the bunch.
He's not an atheist fundie, he's Hindu. Someone wanted some Hindu fundie quotes and FFI (unfortunately) is full of them. Check our garbage can.
The above quote is not so unusual, to call to violence against missionaries (or other people) is not so uncommon. The scary thing about it is that most of those people (Hindus, Sikhs) are living not in India, but in the West.
@ Fanatic-Templar & Sofia
So submit them, there's a fair number that have been submitted from this board. If you feel their fundie, they deserve to be submitted.
I so want to have these guys meet Jesus and hear the conversation
fundie- I killed all these heathens for you lord!!!
Jesus- that would have been great, expet that I am a FUCKING PACIFICST
Is this an atheist trolling or another religion beating on Christianity?
Either way, what a jerk. I'd probably agree with the "not be beaten part" - but the killed part... bad...
nice change of pace but I give you a 1 for creativity. At least religious fundies are amusing with their delusions.
EDIT: Oh it is religious (I should read other comments first)? Well in that case a Hindu fundie...don't see that everyday. Still not amusing :/
I have to say, I am getting tired of all the shortcuts. If you can't spell out a word, don't post on a message board. You're too lazy to spell the whole word christian, so why the hell should anyone use any energy reading what you don't care enough about to actually write?
Sounds twelvish...Maybe thirteen. Or it could be a troll.
Then again, I've met atheists with this mentality. Just goes to show you theres a jackass in every camp :P
Hell...I don't want Christians to die...I just want them to stop trying to make their beliefs into my laws. That is honestly the only issue I take with them.
That's "scumbags", not "scumbugs". And the "killed" thing sounds too much like a fatwa.
In general this person is a maltheist, a belief with which I can agree in principle...but such a drastic response is only indicative of the type of emotional crisis that fundamentalism engenders.

You mean both of them?
I think it's important to see WHICH xian scumbags he's talking about, considering quite a few of those whose comments end up here SHOULD be beaten and killed.
However, in this case, the scumbags should've just been beaten (as they were).
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
