I ask about the noise because scientists claim the universe has a background noise that is a leftover from the Big Bang. If it wasn't an explosion, how is that possible?

1) They don't claim that

3) They do not make any such claim
There is no background noise to the universe. What you are probably referring to is known as the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. It is an isotropic (that is, essentially the same in all directions) background of microwave radiation visible in the sky in all directions (visible to instruments sensitive to microwave radiation, not your eyes).
This radiation came about when the universe was only 300 000 years old, when it cooled sufficiently for atoms to exist. At this point the background radiation could travel through space relatively unimpeded, which it continues to do to this day - which is how we can see it.
When the background radiation came into being the universe was roughly the same temperature as the visible surface of the sun is now, and the radiation was primarily at visible wavelengths. However, as the universe has expanded, the background radiation has been stretched (that is, redshifted), so that it now appears as microwaves, with a characteristic temperature of about 2.7 kelvins.
That, briefly, is how. Now if only I could be bothered to answer our ignorant friend directly. . .
Perhaps later.
Edit: Ignorant, not ignored. They are certainly getting enough attention here. You are all probably right that explaining this would do no good.
At least someone else is making an attempt to provide answers. I had a look at the source and it was painful reading.
Aesmael,
Do you think MeInKC would understand your explanation? I mean, isn't "KC" Kansas City? If it's the one in Kansas, he stands no chance.
Aesmael,
I agree with ez-c..person is doomed. Plus the fundies constantly take terms literally like he is with 'noise' and big bang=explosion.
My suggestion for IgnorantInKC: If you really want to hear it, bend way, way over until you see a large crack, cup your ear and wait.
Aesmael,
I applaud your effort. Even I have, on occasion, tried to explain science to fundies, and even though it never changes their beliefs, I still think it's worth it to try.
In my previous post I just wanted to make a crack about Kansas.
by noise they dont mean sound. They mean a random pattern of activity in light, heat or radio waves.
Thete is a cosmic background radiation which can be detected.
The noise he's refering to is TV and Radio static, where theres no signal designated to a frequency you get a noise. It's not just backround radiation from space, it's tons of shit from Earth and Man too, but it's there, and it sounds like a noise because Radio and Tvs are designed to be receptive to such wavelengths.
Microwave radiation is not sound, you dolt, and it was produced by the high concentration of energy after the Big Bang.
The vacuum of space cannot transmit sound. If it could, you would probably be deafened by the sun.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
