Best exapmle is God asking Abraham to sacrifise his own son... In this context God is not trying to be Sadistic ... he is setting an example to all people of the world of how one should be faithful to God . Because Abraham gave importance to God but not to his Son he was blessed. First things First and the First thing to do is be Faithfull to "lord God Almighty"... and more over you need to understand the new convenant with "Lord Jesus"... so that you will understand will God ask you or me to sacrifise our loved ones...

I'll own, though, that I wonder what the original form of the Abraham/Isaac story might have been. If I remember correctly, in the Islam iteration (where Ishmael, not Isaac, is the one ordered to be brought to sacrifice), ISHMAEL HIMSELF implores Abraham to go through, simply because it's God's will. It would be curious if this turned out to be the original template (whether the one about to be slain is Isaac or Ishmael being irrelevant; it's a matter of the victim's response)...

Well, I hate to tell you this, but MY god, Bozza the Great told me to kill everyone that worships the false God Yahweh. It's OK, though- you don't have a soul and can't feel pain like a REAL person can.
Bozza the Great tells me in my ear that you are a BLASPHEMER and deserve nothing but death. Bozza also tells us not to listen to the cries and pleading of the damned- they can't be converted and should be killed in any way I choose.
