Fort Worth pastor indicted on rape under guise of casting out demons
Owens told her that a sex spirit and lesbian demon were inside her and needed to be cast out, police said. The pastor then asked her to lie on the floor and began yelling at her as if she were a demon, saying, “Loose her in the name of Jesus,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

in the "Decameron" by Giovanni Boccaccio, there's a story about a young maiden who was sent to live with a hermit. The hermit was caught up in her beauty, and told her that the "devil" had arisen in him and he needed to be put back in her "Hell". this sounds just like that story.
The woman told officers that Owens raped her again a month later, after he asked her to go to his house to pray for another woman.
I find it very strange that if you were raped by a person you would go to that person.
I don't know what to think, but I'd rather suspend my judgement on this one. Anyway, the exorcism alone points out that neither of these two characters (pastor and raped woman) is endowed with common sense.
I gotta be skeptical on this one. The woman went back to him for more "help" and he raped her again? Am I totally out of line for thinking that's really odd?
At what point does some guy violently rape you during an at-home excorsism (a church no-no - they are supposed to be supervised) and you think, "Well, that didn't work, let's try it again some time."
I know rape is real and only this woman knows why she did what she did, but it just sounds very strange to me.
There have been a few comments regarding the fact the woman went back to the pastor, after being raped the first time, thus questioning the veracity of her complaint because of this second visit.
What must be remembered is that this woman was obviously taken in by the authoritative manner of her pastor. The pastor was in a position of authority over this woman and took advantage of the situation.
This makes his actions doubly vile from my perspective. She trusted him and he abused that trust.
Besides, it wouldn't be the first time a woman second-guessed herself regarding a sexual assault because the rapist was in a position of authority over her. Think sexual harassment in the workplace.
Confused?
