(Discussing Prop 8 in California)
We invited this liberalism. We good people have stopped voting (Thus we have BHO) and we are afraid to peak out in public about this crap.
Only God can help us now. I see the great OPPRESSION coming, forget the depression....

I beg to differ. I crossed my fingers during the election and - luckily - Obama won. McCain Palin were clearly the wrong choice.
Haha, the name thing... Hussein, how evil... what about "McCain", named after the first murderer in the Babble?
These idiots are bomb-proof. Ignore them, and they'll wail that the world is going to hell in a handcart and that they are the only true voices in the wilderness. Actually have a go at them, and they'll yowl about oppression and discrimination. Both ways, they'll love every minute.
So: how to really depress them?
"Only God can help us now."
Then I highly recommend you spend all of your time in futile prayer until you starve to death. If that doesn't work, try holding your breath.
Does tis idiot know the definition of liberalism, if your american, you fall into the group of liberalism, dem or rep.
[We good people have stopped voting...]
So nobody who voted for Obama is good? Fuck you.
Voter turnout was UP during the last election. People turned out in droves to vote.
Your guy lost. Hard. That's how it goes sometimes. It isn't because people "didn't vote hard enough".
[...and we are afraid to peak out in public about this crap.]
Afraid to speak out? Where the hell do you live? Mars?

DOOM! DOOM! McCain lost! We're DOOMED! Come off it.
People like you are fed on false dichotomies, and it shows.
Oh please let me oppress you! I really, really want to oppress you. /sarcasm dripping from every word.
What are you? Are you having sado-masochistic fantasies of being thrown to the lions in the colosseum in Rome?
You have freedom to worship exactly as you want. But that isn't enough. No. You want to be able to lay down your law for everyone else. Well sorry. It doesn't work like that. Freedom to practise a religion also means freedom from those who practise a religion. So stop your whining and bitching because you can't get to oppress others. That would relly be what you are trying to say here, yes?
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
Yet another fundie who never read his bible and has thereby doomed himself to damnation.
Um... Let's see... Lots of you nut cases prayed that God prevent Obama from being President. Jesus buddy let you down again? I mean what's up with that? Obviously if he was elected, it was God's will. And if God chose him to be the Pres, well, then, Obama has gotta be ok with you right?
"Only God can help us now"
Yep. His Will is always done, so just try not to interfere by voting or anything.
"We good people have stopped voting (Thus we have BHO)"
Thank god for evil people voting.
"and we are afraid to peak out in public about this crap. "
If I supported the republic party for the past 8 years I would be afraid to admit it too.

Just ignore them? I mean, they're already depressed by reality.
Help, help! I'm being oppressed! They won't let me deny people their basic rights because my book says they shouldn't have them! Come see the violence inherent in the system!
Also, aren't there laws against people 'peaking' in public? ;p
Votes are done privately, for this very reason.
Also, enough of the word play. I'm not going to sugar-coat this. You suck at it. Capitalising your pathetic attempt at sophistication only makes it worse.
Y'know, deep down I think they realize what unreasonable shits they are and know they can't get away with this behavior for long. Society must move ahead and fundies must either smarten up, loosen up or shut the hell up about other peoples lives
"A harsher but perhaps truer analysis of this exodus [from England under Charles I] is that the Puritans left this country not because they were being persecuted, but because they were not being allowed to persecute everyone else."

Some things never change, do they?
We invited this liberalism.
Yes, because people don't seem to want a theocracy.
We good people have stopped voting (Thus we have BHO)
Actually, a greater percentage of people voted in this election than have before. That means that BHO won, not because you guys didn't vote, but because you were outnumbered.
and we are afraid to peak out in public about this crap.
No, you tend to speak out quite often. This is how Prop 8 was passed in the first place. As for "peaking", hopefully you reached it awhile ago, and are on the downturn.
@szaleniec: One can only hope that the fundies will leave once again, only this time to a place where they can't oppress, hurt, or bother anyone. How about the Arctic Circle?
Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh, the great OPPRESSION, in which 15% of the population oppresses the other 85%.
Well, if you didn't bother voting, you can't complain that the candidate of your choice didn't win. If you'd given that much of a toss you'd have voted, so why are you whining now?
Voter Turnout 2000: 101.4 million (50.4M Bush, 50.9m Gore)
Voter Turnout 2004: 121 million (62M Bush, 59M Kerry)
Voter Turnout 2008: 128 million (64.5M Obama, 59.9M McCain)
Both of the candidates got out the vote quite handily in '08. And the conservative turnout was the second-highest on record. Even Bush's 2004 figure wouldn't have helped, anyway.
Oh yes, the oppression of not being able to legislate your morality, and tell people who they can and cannot marry, or love. Truly you suffer so. I don't know how you find the strength to go on.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
